Franklyn was a avid Bullshitter. even in his early life he'd make up stories about awesome he is, yes he did get bit by the chuu2 bug badly. But at one point he did ditch the bullshitting and at least tried. So much so he managed to get to collage! but he kept getting told that he has no tangible future outside of being like a cubicle jocky. And it's mostly because he has no real ambitions in any field be it tech, medicine or even CADD. Because of the Zero Faith Assessments he grew pretty disenchanted with the adult world. Believing just about everyone will have no faith in him or any endeavors he'd undergo. That'd he'd ammount to very little in anyone's eyes.
So! He drops out of collage, gets a suit, some gloves and dress shoes. While also stealing a very over designed knife from a store he becomes his original character he'd written over 60+ stories about.

And so he goes off to Chuunibyos it up in the back alleys of Progress! Hoping to become an Urban legend spoken of throughout the ages!

He's actually pretty Harmless and really wouldn't hurt anybody? he just wants to scare people and have the Legend of BILLY THE DESPAIR become known not just in the City of Progress but WORLD WIDE! with art and fanfictions and movies!

His claims that he knows Shinryukai are mostly because he's a fan of Aurus. From of what little footage he saw of his tournament career. He also thinks of edgy one liners but he tends to muck em up due being overexcited
