Amethyst is a kind and protective woman who embodies the spirit of a tranquil and starlit night, offering her shade to protect and soothe those in need and inspiring hope in others. She is one of the Faceted, those recognized by the stars and gifted their powers of Weal and Woe. Her Weal allows her to project dome barriers around herself to block incoming attacks, while her Woe gives her the elemental powers of the night and stars. She uses her gifts in the pursuit of helping those who cannot protect themselves and to help keep the night a safe place for all who look to the stars.

Her protective and heroic nature becomes a double-edged sword when paired with her stubborness, as she possesses a hair-trigger temper when people are threatened and will throw herself into danger without a second thought if it means protecting someone. While her shielding Weal adds a layer of safety to her spontaneity, it isn't full proof protection. Nonetheless, she carries herself with a confidence built upon hope and determination, never backing down around danger.

The one thing she fears is becoming like her mentor, a man who she believed had noble intentions but who she later realized was nothing more than a spiteful monster wanting to tear down the world for what he believed to be slights against him. His nihilistic worldview was incredibly infectious, and is something Amethyst battles with herself to disprove daily. Her refusal to let go of hope drives her to keep going, even when her thoughts tell her to give up and give in.
