Fun fact: He died for realsies but he got better! now he has to suffer the effects of having been dead for an extended period of time.
He works in the morgue of the mortuary his father runs in Baldurs Gate and dislikes most people. Reanimates the corpses so they'll walk themselves into their own caskets. He's usually in charge of any autopsies, maintains the corpses prior to burial, and maintains their family's catacombs underneath the mortuary & graveyard.
A follower of Jergal, commits to the same practices as a scribe of the dead, recording the names and manners of death of all those under his care. Knows funerary rites and practices for a lot of different cultures in Faerun, but usually lets his father handle services because he lacks tact. In reality, he runs just about every part of the business that doesn't require conversing with clients, except for the finances.
History: When he was a child, he and his mother were the victims of the slaughter of a noble's entire servant household due to superstition and paranoia from said noble. It wasn't until some time later that he woke up to find that a friend of his mother had tried to resurrect him (and it didnt completely work) and that while his soul was wandering the fuge plane he himself made a deal with an undead patron to be brought back to life (as a warlock) and get revenge for himself and his mother. When he first awoke however he was missing a chunk of memories and agreed to go with his mother's friend and stay under his porotection. Years passed, some of his memories returned, he gained a few powers thanks to his patron, and the man who took him in took him as an apprentice at his family's mortuary. Over the years Aclero started to view the man as a father, and he as his son, and though Aclero often had a skewed view on things and others found him unpleasent and offputting, his father doted on him dearly. When Aclero was abducted and infected with the mindflayer's parasite, he not only found himself in possession of new abilities, but memories previously barred from his mind came back to him, and the side effects he previously suffered due to being ressurected started becoming both more prominent in some ways, and relieved in others. Over the course of the party's quest to rid themselves of the parasites, Aclero finds himself with real friends for the first time in years, and eventually even a lover in Astarion. Aclero himself can be somewhat odd at times, generally mistrusts others and isn't afraid to deceive and intimidate them for his own goals. However, while his own morals may be about as loose as an empty coinpurse, he generally tries to abide by things his father has taught him, and what he thinks will benefit his companions the most.
