Personality:
Created by the Cat Lord, a divine being of the Upper Planes also responsible for the creation of the tabaxi, they were born "cursed" with curiosity, compelled to wander far and wide by a need to know everything. They exhibit a mysterious, enigmatic, and mischievous personality, and take delight in speaking in riddles or rhymes. They enjoy listening to other people's stories and ask a wide range of questions, from the important to those inconsequential, and fawn over others which makes their possible betrayal more unexpected. They never lie but rely on paltering, the active use of selective truthful statements to mislead, when manipulation is required. Due to their curious personality and their nature as a cat, they get distracted very easily by small and seemingly mundane things, be it authentic or calculated. They loathe repetition and routine stimuli which isn't new to them anymore.

Curiosity: I need to know everything, but more than anything, I need to know why my creator abandoned me in the Abyss. [Fey]
Self-Preservation & Patience. It’s everything and everyone for themselves in this cruel world. I will do anything to survive. Anything. What is the point of having knowledge but to use it.[Demonic]
Might & Cunning. Eat or be eaten. The world is divided into the strong who rule and the weak who obey or die. I respect those who respect me. I crush those foes I can defeat, and lie in wait to weaken and overwhelm those I can’t. One day, I will devour that which devoured my homeworld. [Demonic]

Backstory:
Unlike many other fey, who can content themselves when staying in a given area, perhaps spending days enamored by a single flower, the Curious Cat instead wanders across all of the realm and between its courts with whom he remains neutral. Their exploration of the Feywild's many mysteries, the ancient knowledge they've acquired, and the acquaintances they've made eventually lead to them becoming an archfey, fey beings with self-proclaimed titles who established a position of preeminence among fey-kind and gained nearly god-like powers and controlling portions of the Feywild itself. Some archfey are regarded as deities and grant divine abilities to their worshipers while others can be contacted by a willing warlock to form fey pacts.

At some point during their travels, they happen upon a portal different from those common fey crossings, the site of a demonic incursion leading the Abyss, and their curiosity compels them to take it. With their limited physical strength, they are quickly captured by demons, tortured, and abused. They had gone from a position of respect, privilege, and freedom to the bottom of a hierarchy of bullies, their life spared solely for the secrets they divulged. During their imprisonment, they utilize their knowledge of fey diplomacy and carefully rationed their information of value, subtly leveraging their position to learn about the new realm they were in. They eventually manipulated their captors into infighting and escaping both their captors only to find that during their long confinement, the portal they had taken had remained open, the epicenter of an eventual demonic incursion that consumed the entire planet and every fey therein. They were the only survivor.

Still stranded in the Abyss, to fight their fate as prey they draw on their malicious unseelie fey instincts to become a hunter. Killing countless low-level demons and consuming their ichor as readily as they did new knowledge, to transform themselves into ever more powerful forms, working their way up the food chain to improve their access to the freedom of exploration and knowledge that came with it. They take particular interest in two fields of study planar portals and Demonic Ichor. They traveled the many layers of the Abyss with renewed curiosity, eventually finding the layer which had previously been the word in the Feywild he knew, and the demon lord responsible for its absorption, but lacks the resources to reclaim it for themselves, instead claiming an alternate layer, becoming a Demon Lord. Also known as Abyssal lords, Demon Lords are archfiends who amassed tremendous power and authority over millennia and established a position of preeminence among demonkind, able to lay claim to one or more full layers of the Abyss and shape them at will. A demon lord, when slain in a plane other than the Abyss, was banished to the Abyss for a hundred years, whereas ordinary demons, including the mariliths and glabrezus, risked being reborn into a lesser form, or not at all. Most demon lords have secretive mortal cults that seek to elevate their lords to godhood through prayer and sacrifice. Although obyriths were the oldest of the demonic races, and their lords among the most powerful, only a handful of obyrith lords survived the rebellion of the tanar'ri demons. The most powerful of the tanar'ri demon lords are called demon princes, who currently number nine. With a realm of their own and the power of planar portals, the multiverse was within their reach, and they couldn’t contain their curiosity to carouse it all.

Goals:
To learn the secrets of the multiverse.
To herald their return to the Feywild (which still exists via other worlds) as a long lost archfey.
To create cults on the material worlds for the most curious mortals to find and in doing so be rewarded.
To spread his perfected ichor to improve upon other beings and innoculate them against corruption by other Demon Lords.
To ward their new world against extraplanar invasion.
To make allies against the various Demon Lords.
To conquer the Abyssal Layer which was formerly their home planet.
To kill (and consume) the Demon Lord who invaded his planet.
To become a Demon Prince (by assuming control of more layers in the Abyss).
