OC to person, game.

Susan Aymone works at the Themis Legal Academy, being the other teacher in the school's judge course but also taking care of the academy's administrative paperwork. Like their colleague Constance Court, Susan is not only a member of the school but also a judge presiding almost all the cases in Dual Destinies.

Full body.

Susan is a white average-sized and slightly overweight person with hazel-brown eyes. A few freckles and moles are scattered over their body. Their platinum-blond hair is short and tousled. Their non-trial outfit consists of a simple cream shirt with a collar tightened by a brown tie, covered by a patterned yellow-orange vest. Their pants are simple brown jeans folded down and held by a basic buckle belt. Their shoes are brown ankle boots with flat gold heels. They wear almost no jewelry, with the exception of hawk feathers as earrings.

In their early twenties, Susan was more lanky, with medium-length hair and bangs to the right. At the time, their hair had not yet been bleached, showing its natural color. They usually wore a yellow tartan shirt with a long brown skirt with big gold buttons and black Mary Jane shoes. Their earrings remain the same, but seem less timeworn given their recency.

You've... changed.
Susan seeing Simon after 4 years without any news - Dual Destinies

At first glance, Susan can come across as a firm person, bordering on icy during trials. They're almost uncompromising in their conclusions, offering little forgiveness when a mistake is made. Efficiency and truth are their modus operandi, so they won't hesitate to be as scathing as possible to restore justice. This over-seriousness can sometimes be seen as "ridiculous", something they admit to themself. This marble facade can be explained by the fact that they take work very - even too - seriously, but as mentioned, this is only a facade linked to their status. Susan is not such a strong character in everyday life.

Relaxed and thoughtful, this radical change in personality outside the courtroom can sometimes confuse those who don't know them. They are someone who could be described as somewhat "maternal" due to this more "caring" attitude, which sometimes leads them to reprimand those around them when the person don't take care of themselves (like just forgetting to eat, for example). Paradoxically, taking care of others makes them forget their own needs, neglecting what they requires, which has even led to them being reprimanded. The most notable example is the day they noticed Simon's physical and behavioral changes, when he ended up lecturing them for worrying too much about him, leading them to ignore their own problems when they were clearly unwell. Something to note is that, although they tend to go on a crusade when someone doesn't look after themselves, they do have some empathic issues. They're able to understand other people's emotions, but don't know how to put themself in their place or identify with the others. Compassion is real, but empathy is not. This inability can also be explained by the fact that they are simply more of a rational person than a sentimental one.

Susan is also someone who tends to shut down when it comes to this unhappiness. They rarely talk about what's bothering them, preferring to sweep their feelings under the rug so as not to worry others, but also simply because they feel that their worries and issues are not legitimate. At times, they may explode from holding everything inside, releasing all their emotions in a torrent of silent tears. Despite this roller-coaster of emotions, Susan always manages to laugh gently at themself, leaving a bitter-sweet taste in their conversations. Their emotions control them more than they control them. One of Susan's biggest faults is that they tend to tease and make fun of those around them, but don't appreciate it when others do the same. Due to their lack of confidence and their way of thinking, Susan sometimes don't know whether people are laughing at or with them.

Case 3 : Turnabout Academy

Their first canonical appearance is during Turnabout Academy. They introduce themself like most of the characters during the first part of the case, displaying their more bubbly, sympathetic personality but still seeming troubled to see Athena - which Apollo points out, the latter retorting that she more or less knows Susan without really elaborating - before quickly leaving again for professional reasons. We see them again later in this part, during the investigation, as they're one of the potential witnesses/suspects. They'll give more details about the victim, as it was their direct colleague, and will be able to provide an alibi for the murder.

Case 4 : The Cosmic Turnabout

As the judge in part of the case, Susan is first seen during the investigation and then at the trial following the explosion in the courtoom no. 4. They can be found at the entrance of the Cosmos Space Center, claiming to be looking for their friend to discuss recent events. This friend is later revealed to be Aura Blackquill, who must leave to join Susan after her discussion with Phoenix and Athena. Susan can be heard calling Aura off-screen just before she leaves.

  • Japanese - Higanbana Ayami
    • "Higanbana" is the japanese name for the Red spider lily that is often associated with death and last goodbyes.
    • "Ayami" (理美) is a combination of "" meaning "justice", "reason" and "logic", and "" meaning "beautiful" and "pretty".
  • English - Susan Aymone
    • "Aymone", combined with "Susan", is a play on "anemone" being a reference to the language of flowers. Anemone's symbolism vary greatly and depends on their color, but are often associated with the themes of forsaken/forgotten love, excitement or anticipation of a future event, and loss of a loved one. Those meanings are direct references to Susan's relationship with Simon.
    • "Susan" can means "lily" or "lotus flower". Both flowers symbolizing rebirth, directly referencing Susan's cutting ties with her toxic family as a way of writing a new chapter in their life and finding who they really are. Lillies are particularly associated with this concept of new chapters as these flowers can often be found in weddings or funerals.
  • Susan is non-binary and asexual. They use any pronouns but mainly they/them !!
  • hey have a female New Rottland (Rottweiler Newfoundland mix) named Daisy.

  • Due to a translation error in the English version of Dual Destinies, Susan's pronouns are exclusively feminine. This has been corrected in Spirit of Justice and later in the Switch version (as well as on other consoles).
