Vikeyä is a loyal, temperamental warrior with a short fuse. Unlike most of her Metkayina peers, the young Na’vi typically wasn’t one to shy away from disagreements and often was ready to jump into a scuffle at the slightest provocation. Although Vikeyä's exceptionally strong willed and gruff personality makes her stick out from others in her clan she refuses to be anything but herself. Even though she showed prowess in combat and hunting, Vikeyä was not initially chosen as successor to the Olo’eyktan due to her temperament. With time and conscious effort she has come far and now rarely starts unnecessary conflict. Vikeyä is still quick to react, but now her first weapon of choice is her sharp wit. Through the years diffusing conflict became second nature and she finally showed the necessary progress needed to finally name her as Olo’eyktan-in-training. As she matured, Vikeyä learned all the different aspects and truly what the role of Olo'eyktan at its core was. The welfare of the clan was paramount, but a leader not only must be able to guide and unite the clan, they must also understand their people. The young Olo’eyktan-in-training became admired by her peers with her continued efforts, as well as her free-diving and hunting skills.

The story behind how the Olo’eyktan-in-waiting got her scars is notorious among her clan. While Vikeyä was still a brash young warrior, an akula’s hunting territory moved to include their village. Her intervention in an attempt to drive it off proved to be not an easy feat. The territorial predator refused to leave without a fight and almost took Vikeyä’s left eye in the attack. Alongside the left side of her face covering her eye from her forehead to cheek now remains a long visible scar. While the rest are still more discernible along her arms and legs, most of her tattoos that she has received after completing the Uniltaron and Iknimaya trials cover the majority of the rest of her scarred wounds.
