Except...in this world, there is only wasteland past those painted city walls, only smog and dust above her standing on the rooftop.
Or is there?
Because her parents spoke of leaves and trees and grass and flowing water. Where birds sing and wind speaks and the night draws a scatter of glitter from horizon to horizon. A world like this exists out there somewhere, a world her parents returned to as soon as they could, even if it meant leaving her behind. She will find them again, someday, and learn the truth about this place.
