Founder of Cometclan, first leader, and interstellar alien. When she landed on Earth, she turned into a silvery, sparkly cougar, on model to the one she killed with her impact. She shines at night. The cats she came to know and love on the mountain were never able to fully heal her from her fall, so she just decided to live the rest of her days with them. Her skeleton rests unseen at the bottom of the Starspring. She wanders the Afterlife, looking for her siblings and checking up on all of her cats, living and dead. Hasn’t faded a bit in the many years she’s been dead. In fact, she’s gotten shinier!

Comet Rider is the sole source of the (infrequent) prophecies given to the Mountain Clans. As the very first alien to perma-die, Comet was surprised at the abilities she gained. She can see Threads of Fate, when she likes to, and gives warnings and advice to her cats. It is difficult to translate what the threads show into something useful, so her prophecies are generally hard to understand by all but the medicats that have spent a lot of time speaking with Comet, who understand how she thinks.
