Unwilling assassin and blue Brighteye. Based on a yoyo loach. He's only like...14. Has 4 eyes, two being on his jaw, giving him a wider range of vision. The collar he wears is magic and intermittently condenses water in the air for his gills. Might have another one that's like a belt?
Ethan's mother, who is a Demon, has been raising him to be an assassin for as long as he can remember. It was never something he was personally interested in, but he didn't have a say in the matter. While he doesn't enjoy taking lives, he's very desensitized to it and never reacts dramatically to death. It's just another thing to him. It happens. Often, he gets quite nervous about his performance on the job. His mother was hypercritical of him, so he just expects others to judge him on the same basis. Because of this, sneaking around, tracking people, fights, and the like are usually very unpleasant for him, though the effect is lessened if he's doing it alone. One thing he actually enjoys about his forced occupation is playing with knives. They're his favorite weapon to fight with and against. Being mostly aquatic creature, he doesn't really like to be on land and complains about feeling sluggish and slow, though you wouldn't know if he didn't mention it. He feels much heavier when he's out of the water. Due to all of his agility training on land, he's startlingly fast in water
