Rhys Aeron Moon

Appearance:

Rhys is a rather large man. Standing at 6'5" and weighing in at 260-ish pounds, he resembles a football player. Atop his head sits a shaggy mop of light brown hair, that just passes his earlobes. His left eye is a dark, honey-brown almond shape. The right is missing, and the empty socket is covered by a simple brown leather patch (if the patch breaks, he will just tear off a piece of an old shirt and wear that until he gets a new one.). He’s chosen to go with a patch instead of a glass eye because it was cheaper, having a glass eye weirds him out, and it may or may not be a good conversation-starter for potential hookups.
His face shape is between rectangular and oval, with a stubbled jaw. His ears are rounded, and a bit small. The right ear has a nick towards the top. His nose has a straight bridge, and a rather rounded tip. His expressions vary decently, but they almost always show a hint of tiredness (Rhys is a workaholic, so this cannot really be helped.). His shoulders are broad and masculine, as is the rest of his body. His arms are well-toned, ending in large, calloused hands that have obviously been through years of hard work. His legs and feet are in similar condition. Scattered around Rhys' body are an assortment of minor scars, mostly from his years bouncing at the bar his father owned, as well as some drunken bar fights. None of them are large or significant enough to raise concern or questions (though the quantity might.).
Modern day Rhys does have a few tattoos. One is a simple black tattoo of a verse from his mother's favorite poem (gonna figure out the line soon), written in cursive, with the final word’s “tail,” I guess you call it, trailing off into the small outline of a tiger lily (his mom's favorite flower). This one is on his chest, right over his heart.
Another one is of his dad's favorite whiskey, with a half-full rocks glass and a bottle of the root beer Rhys used to drink with him when he was too young to have alcohol. This one is in full color and on his left shoulder.
The others aren't as significant and I'll figure them out soon.

When it comes to wardrobe, just super casual stuff. For his steampunk canon, he's really more of a working class kind of clothing person. He works in and owns a bar, so the most formal thing you’re going to see him in when he’s working or out is a plain T shirt and a pair of solid wash jeans. Most commonly at work, he’s in band (things along the lines of Guns n Roses, Metallica, ACDC, and whatnot.) or graphic tees, jeans that honestly could use some replacing (but seriously he works in a bar so they’re gonna get booze and food spilled on them.), and when he goes out, he wears the not-so-stained stuff and actually looks like he gives a shit about his looks.

Personality:

The thing people notice about Rhys first is that he has a very big brotherly, almost parental air about him- this was adapted when he was taking care of his siblings. Despite his generally easygoing nature, he's protective of his friends and family and wouldn't be afraid to beat the tar out of someone if he needed to keep them safe. Depending on his mood (meaning, hungover or normal), he'll either keep to himself a bit or be out and about, socializing and joking around. He prefers being around people to being alone, even if there's just someone sitting in the same room he's in and they're not talking. He grew up in a full-ish household and just never really got accustomed to hanging out alone. Rhys loves his job cooking and making people happy with the food he makes and wouldn't trade it for anything. He's also got a very basic "I will treat you how you treat me" philosophy when it comes to dealing with other people.
He is a very praise-oriented workaholic, as being told he’s doing well or helping someone out makes him feel good about himself and his work. However, he does have his share of emotional weaknesses. The largest one, that he sometimes over thinks and sees as something he absolutely needs to hide from people, is even hidden from his own family. Due to an experience he had when he was younger, as well as a lack of parental guidance in the "finding yourself" stage of life, he learned on the streets that it is apparently a bad thing. He sometimes goes out of his way to make people like him, sort of like trying to make up for this "abnormality," as he sees it, that he tries so hard to hide.
