Orchid is the soul infused in Iris' ribbon wand. She is the goddess of Light and Nature.
She has the body and mind of a young girl, and her actions certainly reflect it.
Orchid is a loud, outspoken girl who likes to have fun. Since her ascension you will always see her with a smile on her face. Say anything about flowers or plants and you’re in for an earful. While her bright personality is sure to lighten your mood, it can have its problems. Do not ever hand her something important to you, it is rare you will ever see it in one piece again.
- Orchid was designed by my friend, Red! I love xem.
- Was originally a DND character in one of my friends campaigns.
- Birthday is April 10th.
- Sonder was created on 5/14 and has GREATLY spiraled out of control due to autism on all sides.
- Sees Aiola as a mother-like figure in her life.
Orchid is the soul inside of Iris' ribbon wand.
Iris uses the wand to grapple and swing on surfaces. Both Orchid and Iris refuse to use the wand to hurt people, so they use more passive techniques.
Born into a position of royalty. Since the beginning Orchid had always been… different. She’d always been just a little too loud, a little too bold, and a little too much. She’s always felt like an outcast, thrown aside by everyone around her. In her solitude, Orchid had turned to nature. The way it was free to be colorful, and as wild as it wanted spoke to her in ways she could not understand. It was then that she decided nobody should have the right to tell her what to do and how to act. It was her life, and it was just the beginning.
Throughout the following years, she’d tried multiple times to escape. She didn’t understand, it was obvious she was unwanted. Nobody looked at her, nobody spoke to her. And yet, every time she thought she was free, there would be two guards waiting to take her back “home”.
That was until her father was assassinated. Killed by a wanted criminal, Lucius Planche, he slit the king’s throat and watched him beg. Orchid had seen it, had watched the whole thing happen. She didn’t scream, didn’t beg for help. She simply took it all in and sat there with a strange feeling in her gut.
After her father’s death, she was really alone. The entire kingdom too focused on the king’s murder and who would now be in power. It was a feeling she had grown used to, and found comfort in. On the last night of her mortal life she had been staring up at the stars, rethinking everything when a voice was heard from behind her. Aiola, the woman who saved her and showed Orchid her worth.
She was now a goddess. Free of her loneliness. Aiola quickly became the most important person in Orchid’s life. Aiola was Orchid’s mother, in all ways except by blood. But, to Orchid, it seemed like blood never really meant anything.
One day, the two of them were watching over the mortal world, Aiola’s fingers gently raking through Orchid’s hair. It was then that she was introduced to her new calling. Aiola had pointed out a young girl, no older than five years old. Almost immediately she felt drawn to her, felt like they were connected in so many ways she could not understand. Felt like the similarities between them ran bone deep.
After that, with Aiola’s encouragement, she turned herself into the ribbon wand. It was the perfect fit for the girl she came to know as Iris.
The ribbon wand's user.
Over the course of them working together they have grown incredibly close. They are two peas in a pod.
Orchid's "savior". Freed her from her parents.
Orchid and Aiola are extremely close and familial-like.
Catalyst of her freedom.
Literally murdered her father. Doesn't really know how to feel about him yet.
