Morgane is the guardian of the entrance to Fairyland. She used to be personal bodyguard to one of the princesses, but got assigned to a new, less glamorous position as a punishment for playing a prank on the wrong fairy. She's supposed to scare people off without revealing that there's anything unusual being guarded, by pretending to be a completely normal highway robber. She gets very bored doing her job, especially since the entrance to Fairyland is in the middle of the woods without any well-traveled road in sight. Most people who see her will realize what she is even before she spots them, because she creates illusions out of light for fun to pass the time, and doesn't make much of an effort to hide the fact that she's got leaves for hair.
