The current Archivist, he was adopted by Farhad after his town was destroyed by an aberration. He was cursed in the process and possesses three eyes on the right side of his face which can perceive oddities.
A bit of a reclusive shut in, he holes up in the Archives and rarely leaves.
Born 1632 in Medina, M, turned immortal age 24.
He was orphaned during the wars that overtook much of the world during the decades of revolution. Picked up by Dezso Yfarkas of the Arthasian Empire and experimented on, he was left with three eyes on one side of his face and one normal on the other, but seemed a failure and left for dead where he was found and rescued by Farhad, the precious Archivist.
Due to his particular circumstances Farhad decides to take Amir under his wing as a disciple. He raises Amir like a son along with Nozoe, the goddess of Kanamori, at their Orphanage. Amir helps Farhad with the Archives and is even trusted with a set of Keys.
He was also raised with the brothers Shinya & Mamoru after they were found by Farhad in Ibaragi. He develops a romantic relationship with Shinya in his early 20s but is manipulated by the other man to his own goals.
After Farhad gives his life to save him, Amir becomes the current Archivist.
Unlike Farhad, he is a bit of a shut in, often spending his time among the stacks or writing poetry, secluded from the world.
Few friends but the Observer has known him since he was a child.
