Wren truly does not care. A lot of her hero work is a complete facade meant to be adored, and while she does a lot of good, she's scared of people knowing about just how little empathy she holds for the people she's rescuing. Of course, she still does it-- someone needs to do it, after all. Especially when Astrophel is involved. Or Ire. But, as it turns out, she does hold compassion for her only friend Lydia and teaching Lydia how to be a hero, while Lydia teaches her not to be so hyperfocused on the past-- or, tries to, anyway. Wren has a singular focus, and that focus tends to be on "saving the city". She doesn't have much time for things like facial expressions. Wren also holds a pretty big grudge against Astrophel for reasons unknown to the city at large. After her mysterious appearance on the scene wearing nothing but a hospital gown, the press latched onto her, feeding into a huge savior complex. Almost as quickly as the press latched onto her, the Equalizers found her, and adopted her into their hero agency. She is currently trying to help Lydia adjust to the demands of a large, full-time hero agency, with little success. She prefers to wear shades of white and grey. If Astrophel is gold, then Wren is silver, and hy wears clothes that, while practical and comfortable, are a bit over-the-top. Wren can control/create plants. Hy also has superhuman strength and healing. Hy is careful to maintain an image of methodical care, but it can't last forever. Wren truly doesn't care if people see her as inhuman or as a "thing" so long as they still like her. She does not use her plant arm outside of hero-duties, as it is large and unwieldy. She does have plants in her apartment that help her do things, and does not own a prosthetic. Wren has learned how to do things her own way. While she does not care about her arm, she has a lot of internalized ableism about her eye, and prefers to keep it covered up. Overall, Wren could be described as methodical, someone to look up too. She keeps her private life very private, and her past on lockdown. But she must've come from somewhere, right? Why does that somewhere still haunt her?
