She's someone who is subconsciously full of herself. She's very loud-spoken about how she feels and will never sugarcoat anything. Her drive towards her goal is something that should only be admired from afar, as time has shown how willing she is to chose herself over others due to her enormous ego, pride and self importance.
Journey's life was one that not most can say they'd enjoy at all. Her household was one of music. Her parents were well kept in funds and were obsessed with making her 'great too.' They were long retired songwriters that never stood a chance in the music world, but held extreme and unruly expectations of her nonetheless. Journey tried hard to live up to these expectations, but was met with disappointment time and time again as no matter what, it would've never been enough for them. She was just a ticket to them, a puppet for them to use.
Journey relied on herself in this struggle living under such a household, and soon found the courage to say something about her parents and their controlling after a harsh argument started up about Journey's lack of a source of income. She was fed up with this life and wished nothing more but to separate herself from all parts of her family. After that argument, her parents turned out to be just as fed up as she was, willing to do anything for her just this once as long as that'd be the last time they'd see her face. She agreed to work on her grades to have a chance at acceptance into this collage and they gave her little money to 'support her' as long as she could get out of their life. Permanently. Thus bringing to Viperous Academy. Upset at the world for its brutal unfairness, and a persona that gives her the validation she needed growing up.
