N obody knows who or what Ecik really is. To most, he appears to be just a young man, who often picks a fight and lives somewhere in the neighborhood. Just a silly dude who hangs around the familoki and dumpsters.
In truth, Ecik’s true form is a bebok – a demon in Slavic folklore, prominent in Silesia to this day, which abducts children at night, watches if they behave or even eats them. Whether Ecik does this is unclear. He usually just takes a stroll in the neighborhood, messes with both Ruch Chorzów and GKS Katowice fans or has very meaningful conversations with kids playing on the playground. He has a more sinister appearance in which he has horns and hooves, but usually prefers to look like a normal human.

- Often has bruises and cuts on his whole body, sometimes hides them with bandages and band-aids.

Sztefa, in a way, is like a mother figure to Ecik. Despite not knowing that Ecik is a demon, she takes care of him, patches him up after fights and cooks for him. Ecik is glad that she’s looking after him, even if sometimes he brings the woman trouble too or jokes about her from time to time.
Zeflik is a friend of Ecik. They often hang out, play soccer, or just simply take a walk around the neighborhood. Their usual conversations consist of Ecik talking non-stop about literally anything, while the boy listens. As a symbol of their friendship, the bebok doesn’t tease the other so much.
Wichta has a crush on Ecik. The demon acknowledges it, but doesn’t want a relationship – besides, Ecik can’t even really feel any kind of love. He tries to avoid her as much as he can. She doesn’t even know he’s a demon, just like others, but the bebok is sure she wouldn’t love him anymore if she knew.
