Background

Zehra was born into a family of unicorns who lived in a quaint village. Her father was a skilled woodworker and her mother was a healer who specialized in using plants for medicinal purposes. Zehra's older sister, Beyza, carried the mantle of societal reverence for her sagacity and profound maturity. Their adoptive sibling, Bengi, however; bore wings, an ability that elicited envy in Zehra’s heart.

Amongst her family, Zehra existed as an introverted blossom. Majority of her childhood was consumed by woodland adventures and open-field explorations surrounding their hamlet. Often accompanied by the reticent Bengi. Her elder sister remained distant due to academic pursuits and civic obligations.

Wings

When they were younger, Zehra and Bengi would often spend their afternoons exploring the nearby forests. One warm summer day, they stumbled upon a clearing that was unlike any they had seen before. The verdant blades below were richer than any they knew, the blossoms exuded an unprecedented vibrancy, and the atmosphere was drenched in a fragrant melody of wildflowers. As they ambled towards the heart of this hidden Eden, a colorful flurry of butterflies came into view.

Bengi's eyes gleamed with astonished mirth as they regarded the aerial ballet around them. In a flash, their own wings unfurled and lifted them into the sky's embrace where they deftly navigated above this surreal landscape. Zehra watched in amazement as Bengi looped and twirled in the sky. She had always wished that she could fly, but alas, she had no wings. As she watched them, she noticed that Bengi's face was filled with pure joy, and she couldn't help but feel happy for them. She stood anchored to the ground, absentmindedly tracing her horn with her fingers while waves of envy washed over her.

Her magical prowess paled in comparison; it was barely adequate for admittance into a novice magic school, much less granting her the strength to defy gravity.
