Naya still struggles with facing the choices she's made in her past life. Her love did not accept her for who she was, when she thought she could finally entrust him with a buried truth. The truth being was that she was biologically born male but had been going through the prcoess of transitioning, mtf and for most of her life had been content with that. However, knowing that her feelings were true for this person she couldn't bare keeping that information from him and finally gained the resolve to go through with it. Her love did not accept her though, lashed out even making the impact that much worse. With a heavy heart and the inability to sort through the flurry of emotions she took her life.
Much time after her death was spent wandering, learning from her past mistakes. Upon reaching enlightenment the determination that she held onto kept her being from fading. Now being a cherub there's a feeling of a chance at redemption or at the least doing some good in the world for those who are still living. She's come across a boy who seems to be conflicted with some sort of darkness and has accepted him as the human she will guard. Though that might be harder than it seems.
