Overview

Reed is a hopelessly sarcastic demonborn that prioritizes himself over just about anything else. Despite his self centered and often rude nature, Reed is quite charismatic and is often enjoyed by anyone he talks to wherever he goes, until he robs them blind. He maintains many contacts in the 'Arcadian Criminal underground' even after his long prison sentence and wasted no time jumping straight back into his specialty- allocating items that don't belong to him.

His Past:
Reed Mirin was born amongst the poorest districts of the Arcadian Moores to a demonborn woman without ever knowing who his father was. Despite the circumstances, his mother worked very hard in one of the many local brothels to feed Reed and keep their meager home. Unfortunately, there are many areas in which demonborn aren't received kindly and the Moores happen to be one of them. Violent acts of hate aren't uncommon and during one night, Reeds mother was murdered in her place of employment by a disgruntled customer. No criminal charges were ever made because of this, and Reed was left homeless and Orphaned as a small child.

Over the next couple years, he traveled the Arcadian outter districts using his small size and his craftiness to survive. He became fairly adept in the ways of thievery, and would spend the day traveling closer to the wealthy districts and pickpocketing civilians until he had enough for his meal that day. It was on one such trip that Reed found a starving elf child, maybe a year younger than him, napping in a dark alley. She was a strange sight, clearly noble born, but dirty and ragged like she'd been living out there. He took a chance and talked to her for a good while before they decided to team up and leave together.

That was how Reed came to know Carne Lovette: an unapologetic elf with a mean streak and a good eye for strategy. Over time, as the two aged into their teenage years Reed taught her everything he knew about the poor districts and thieving,  while Carne taught him how to manipulate wealthier marks in the upper districts. They worked together to make a name for themselves in the Arcadian underground as a very unlikely duo team.

When Reed had barely made it to adulthood, a man named Demetri Morrow approached him with a business proposition. Demetri was the leader of one of the largest thievery organizations in the Arcadian Underground, and not a man who's used to hearing the word "no". When he offered Reed a job on his team, he made it very clear the offer was just for Reed and he wouldn't be having any "blueblood filth" anywhere near his operation, referring to Carne who had been Reeds long time partner and closest friend.

Reed spat in his face and left with Carne in an act of defiance. 3 days later, Demetri had Reed arrested and would have had Carne arrested as well, but Reed distracted the guards and Gave her the signal to flee. Despite many hours of torture at the hands of the Regent General Guard, he never gave so much as a hint to where Carne may have fled to and came up with many creatively vular insults In the process. He was imprisoned for the next 7 years where he charmed his way through the ranks of criminals making great business arrangements all along the way. The numerical branding on his upper shoulder was from his time as a prisoner, where his identity was "113".

Current view:
Reed was recently released from prison after gaining enough currency and having one of his many contacts make several bribes. Now that he's free he's begun his search for Carne; following leads of wanted posters and local whispers in the hopes he'll be able to reunite with her, as well as living his new found freedom to the absolute most. His skills have done nothing but improve in prison and he finds the Arcadian Moores distasteful, so he stays moving.
