landon had been trained to be a K-9 unit ever since he was old enough to walk. he was a surprise to his litter, being a black german sheperd comapred to his parents and littermates, and thus, he was highly protected by not just his kin, but by the humans that had raised him. he was trained to be strong, and had grown rather attached to his officer and his family. he earned his k-9 status a bit earlier than other dogs, officially starting shortly before his second birthday.

landon was a highly, highly skilled officer, with no fear to be had. that was the exact reason he was chosen to help search for a case of missing children. said children have gone missing within a rhythmic time of each other, presumed to be because of the "slenderman phenomenon" popular among tweens. landon had been on a good trail, leading his officer through dense woods, until he took off in a sudden phase of aggression. needless to say, landon never returned to his officer. the slenderman had caught him, not expecting a dog instead of a child, but by that point it had been too late.

whether landon could be called a hellhound or not is up for interpretation. although his conversion had been partially accidental, landon was deemed useful due to his inhuman strength, and the mere fact that he was an animal loved by the majority of children. he was converted into a proxy and currently lives in the slender mansion.
