Nova

Previously an archangel, she served in the eternal war against the daemons. Used to be well respected among her peers and the lower class angels. She served as a common soldier, fighting alongside her brother and unit. She was second in command of her unit, and treated the others like family. One day, she and her unit were sent down to Oranys on a mission, to push back against the daemons that were attempting to invade the human villages. They set up camp outside one of the targeted villages, and as they were preparing for battle, an elegant human woman approached them. The woman asked to speak to their commanders, who was then escorted to Nova and her superior. She identified herself as Aster, the village's High Priestess. Aster offered up the village's supplies should the divine angels require anything. Nova was taken aback by the woman's sheer beauty, and immediately fell smitten with her. As time went on, Nova found herself searching for Aster whenever they visited the village, too afraid to approach her. Her brother noticed her antics, and nudged her into gaining the courage to go speak to the priestess. Although embarrassed and nervous, she went to speak with the priestess, and upon finding out her character, only fell deeper in love with her. Much to her surprise, Aster returned the feelings, and they decided to make their relationship more intimate. Out of fear for Aster's safety, they kept the relationship a secret. To their disappointment, the mission came and went, and the unit needed to go back home. Fortunately, Nova was able to sneak away for short periods of time thanks to the help of Ezekiel. As the relationship progressed, Nova pushed the boundaries little by little, spending more and more time with her lover. Soon enough, one of the Seraphim noticed her disappearances, and sent out an angel to follow her and find out what she was up to. Upon receiving the report that she had a human lover, the Seraphim were furious. They immediately made their way down to Oranys and barged in on Nova and Aster. Understanding what was happening, Nova began to panic and defend Aster, saying that she had nothing to do with this and they should just punish Nova. Despite her best efforts, she was held against her will and was forced to watch them murder the love of her life in front of her eyes. The Seraphim then decided to strip her of her wings, stating "If you love the humans so much, then we'll grant you the grace of joining them." Leaving her with nothing but bloody wounds on her back.
