Hi there are three main subcultures/breeds(??) of storm spirit, one of them is the True-End pod.

Within the frame of the mainline story.... atm, there would never be a reason for the reader/the main characters to meet or even KNOW about the True-End pod. nonetheless, I want to know what they look like for my own sanity.

given that ^^^ idk if I'll make this design an actual character. For now, i'm just going to use them as my note-keeper of traits that set True-End spirits apart from crag-coast/sky-reach ones. if I make some more TE StSp designs I may put them here too.

True-End Storm Spirits:

  • are typically larger than sky-reach and crag-coast spirits.
  • Commonly have darker markings that can cover 50% or more of their base-coat, something that is rare with the other StSp groups. Additionally, dark-gray / near-black markings are not uncommon among True-End StSp. TE StSp may also have completely darker colored tails, limbs, or heads, something that is never seen in SR/CC (<- will have pointed or gradient markings instead).
  • While markings lighter than base-coat are rare within SR/CC, it is only uncommon with TE.
  • commonly feature whale-like lineation on their undersides.
  • Typically float much more than walk, only really walk if they are injured/weakened. because of this, their preferred forms are usually more elongated, and limbs may be absent or otherwise not built for walking (because they aren't needed for walking). Of course, nothing is stopping TE StSp from shifting to give themselves walking/running limbs, and they do so when necessary, just culturally..... floating/flying around all the time is the norm (where for CC and SR it isn't)
