What is your favorite part of the park to visit, Mallow? It's all so calm, walking through nature, nothing but the leaves rustling to guide you. It's peaceful. I wish I had more of a mind for it.
there's a spot by the berry bushes i like. i go there every morning to eat breakfast before i have to start running tours. i don't like what's past the river, though.
I'd love to see your floral arrangements sometime. A hint of color to brighten the room--all of us could use that, now and then. It's a pleasure to meet you, Kasen.
sure. you don't look like a hostage negotiator. off the clock?
I am glad your mother taught you well! As for myself...Looks can be very deceiving, Minerva. I hold nothing but goodwill to humanity, despite it all. And luck, itself, is all about perspective, and how you use the outcome of each predicament. Perseverance and patience--that is all we often have, dearie.
Motherly... my mother taught me many things. Mostly about insects, but they were lessons nonetheless. You seem much harsher... not purposefully, but perhaps by misfortune. A hostage negotiator doesn't seem like someone with luck on their side, after all — too much of it is spent on other people.
Oh, my dearie, not at all! I loved my own nanay while she was here. It's an honor, really, to be thought of like her...! I would be delighted to share some of her memories with someone as vibrant as you. The heartache can wait, Maeve--let's enjoy today with something sweet. Now, what shall we bake first?
Aww.. You remind me of my Abuela. That's not an insult!! I bet you make lovely pastries, too, don't you? But dealing with hostages... I bet you know heartbreak, too, Miss Nyomi.
Oh sweetheart, aren't you kind. I think I'm a little too old for someone as vibrant and young as yourself, hmm? Heavens, I could be your mother, Fennel! Tell you what--the stew is almost done. How about you tell me a little about your ghost adventures over a hot meal?
.... hehe..... hehehehe... ummmmmm........... hehehe.... hehe... um.. heheh.... hiiii... i think i-- i think i'm in-- i think i.. mmy heart is... in a hostage situation.
It is not about the enjoyment of the career, dearie. It is something that must be done--and I am the one to do it. My joy comes from the homes I help rebuild. Do you find joy, in creating them?
You remind me of someone I used to know. Which is funny, because that someone wasn't a hostage negotiator. Do you enjoy having that as your job? Because it doesn't sound like something enjoyable.
It is a scary job, L0vebug, but it's a very rewarding one. The satisfaction that you process through matchmaking...well, perhaps I'm biased, but I feel double that after a job well done. I am relieved, though, that I can still find kindness to show and to give after all is said and done. Thank you, sweetheart.
You have a very scary job, missus... but you look very kind! That makes me happy. It is good for the heart, to know that you can do something so frightening and still look so soft... ah, but I am rambling! People must put a lot of trust in you! That is a good quality to have, I think. That is all…!
It is the understanding that we are all human, sweetheart. It is the compassion and patience we show towards each other that makes each mediation that much easier. But it is best not to dwell too long on it--tell me more about yourself, Han. Oh, it would be wonderful to hear of your fishing trips...!
I respect your work. Many lives are made better because of you. It's a difficult occupation. I do not panic easily, but I am not good at negotiations. On the other hand, you seem like a rather doting mother. I suppose that helps in calming people down.
My little Ana...<3 How you've grown...! Such a handsome young man!
Iiinaaaaa...! Stop it, you're EMBARRASSING me! >u<
Oh, you must have studied so hard to get where you were! Academically or in the field, your progress and achievements are admirable! As someone who always thought about education as an afterthought, I always had my regrets for not continuing my studies. Seeing you, so young and accomplished...it's inspiring, dearie.
ooh! thank you, miss aganad—that's so kind! I'm sure you've worked hard to get where you are too, doing something so high stakes... I think that's pretty inspiring, too! and, you know—it's never too late to study something new! life is all about learning, be it in an academic sense or otherwise! if there's something in particular that interests you, maybe I could help you find somewhere to start!
Weddings are wonderful, aren't they? To be able to help plan one of the best days of someone's life... [sighs] Oh, to all have our happily ever afters!
Oh, what a lovely career! It's so important, to keep morale up! Whether your team is winning or losing, you're there to keep their spirits high! It takes so much endurance to keep up that level of cheer, and a steadfast nerve to lead. Go, Kirkland Knights!!!
I will respect your wishes, Toni. But please, do not treat that word so lightly. You never know what's going on, on the other side of the line.
Cool enough talent... just don't try to mother hen me. I don't need any comfort. I'm not a damn hostage.
You and I could certainly share a few words on stress, hmm? Working with lives on the line...it never gets any easier. Each day brings its own challenges, and you can only hope to do your best to overcome them, with a steady hand and relaxed nerves. I hope you find as much pride in your success as I do, Doctor--if not ten times more. But...you look tired, my dear. Perhaps a warm blanket to curl under, after a long day's work? I could set up the couch or the bed for you to lie on. Or would you like something to eat? I hope you take care to manage yourself. A patient is only as well as their doctor.
I will be honest with you, Reverie, I'm not very fond of mysteries. Call it instinct, to fear the unknown. Nonetheless, have a pleasant day. May the truth reveal itself when it is ready.
I see. I suppose that is your job, isn’t it? To discover the unknown. I am afraid of searching too hard - of finding depths that run too deep.
Do you, now? Interesting.
[ ??? ] Oh...? Hehehe. Hehehehehehee. I see.
It takes patience, time, and care, to take one thing and turn it into another. I've been knitting all my life, and each completed piece still feels as satisfactory as the first, no matter how long it takes. Is it the same for you? How did you start? Perhaps we could chat over coffee sometime? I'd love to hear of your "unfolding" journey, haha!
Couldn't I say the same for you? Such a handsome young face, hidden behind a screen! Nevertheless, you must be such a creative soul, to have made it so far in designs. I have a soft spot for creativity myself--perhaps you could show me your work some time? I'm sure I'd recognize something you've worked on! Focus on making a brighter future, rather than look back to a mistaken past.
Well....gotta say, definitely not what I pictured a hostage negotiator to look like. But I guess for a stressful situation like that, you gotta have the kind of delicacy only a mother could provide. Not sure if it's applicable here, but thanks for your service. Can't imagine there's much room for error in your line of work....
Goodness me! I can never keep up with the trends these days--is goth still popular? It was when I was growing up--never quite my style. But you wear it very well, dearie. What is it, that you do? Queue professional? Like...waiting in line? I apologize, I am unfamiliar with the profession.
WHOSE MOM IS THIS
My little Aya...I am so proud of you, my daughter. I am grateful for whatever it is that lead me to deserve you.
You know what you did, Ina. You stood by me. You helped me. You loved me. I could never ask for a better mother.
