Roberto and Meryl have a grandpa/grand daughter sorta dynamic. Plus that trope of dad didn't want dog- cut to dad spoiling said dog. He gives her a hard time, and pretends he doesn't like her, when it's really quite the opposite. This is p much canon anyways BUT YEAH PFFF
