Eiwren Adalinda
Overview
One of the lead professors at Canidae's college. Eiwren is an artificer by trade with a major focus on history. Her years of study gave her a deep appreciation for conservation and preserving history. Eiwren heard about Canidae's rich and rather unique history and was invited to teach history at the college. Canidae's High Council also heavily funds her research in the hopes of preserving their land's history. When she isn't teaching, she can be found tending to her mechanics and automatons she keeps in her office. Many students describe her being very cold at first but warming up after a while. She is a stern and confident woman, do not cross her unless you want to be dragged on a dangerous expedition...
You know I thought I was pretty lucky with not getting grays after everything I’ve been through. You bunch are a special case and have most certainly caught my interest.

Her work and home life unfortunately are quite blended. This is not recommended for the average person, but average person Eiwren is not! Eiwren’s most noticeable quirk is her innate sense of curiosity. She isn’t afraid to push the boundaries of science and discovery. She only blows things up in controlled environments. A habit would be going days with no rest, which takes awhile to come back to bite her because of her elven nature.
Eiwren is a rather straightforward woman. She will always be honest with people and expects the same out of them. Communication is incredibly important to her. If you mess up, she’ll coach you through it with a bit of actual tough love. To people she cares about, she can come off as a bit brash. She always means well and has the best interests for those she cares about in mind. If she doesn’t like you, believe me you’ll know.
Eiwren is a mix of Words of Affirmation, and Acts of Service, though she won’t ever deny someone a hug. Many students in Canidae who find themselves to be homesick can find comfort in her presence. Her office is usually always open and she can be found quite easily at the college. Just follow the mob of youngsters with ginger and turmeric cookies.

Design notes
- Eiwren’s right eye is a pale blue and her left eye is more of a chocolatey brown
- Recently, Eiwren has developed some pale streaks in her hair thanks to the RCR party, she’s decided to keep them
- Eiwren alway keeps her forearms hidden by long sleeves, no matter the weather. In private around close friends she can be seen without them.

Eiwren’s childhood is relatively unknown. According to her (if you ask), she came to Canidae years ago as a student where she got to witness the great wizard Benjamin’s rise and fall. The two of them never really interacted as she was focused on her own studies at the time. Before Canidae though, she says she was raised in a loving home by kind people. She remembers her family fondly, and she’s very far from her birthplace, but Canidae is her home and this is where she chooses to stay.
Becoming a teacher

The original college (now castle) was where Eiwren first came to pursue her education as an artificer. Mastering the talent was easy for her, so obviously teaching was the next hurdle. Her students are her top priority and she feels they are only as good as their weakest student. Her students praise her efforts and are grateful for her efforts to guide them to be the very best. She would boast about her class being the largest to graduate at around 100 students, but such a thing brings up rather sour memories.
Present Day
- ”I love hearing the mechanical sounds of my student’s workshop, I love it even more when it becomes full of laughter.”
- ”We are no stranger to explosions which is why we are one of the first magic colleges to construct a sprinkler system. Its saved the workshop a few times.”
- ”Whatever drama you heard the art teacher say in the lounge should be taken with a grain of salt. She’s as dramatic as she is flirtatious, and my encouragement of her behavior certainly doesn’t help. She’s young and in need of guidance, what did you expect me to do?”
Eiwren is as much of a favorite of students as she is the rest of the staff. When she isn’t teaching she is found wandering the workshop or poking her head into some of the other classes. She loves her job and all that comes with it. Starsweeper even often seeks her out for guidance, despite him being capable of higher magic then even her!
If there is ever inside drama, be warned that Eiwren is going to find out one way or another. She loves drama that she’s not a part of. Her rather brash behavior is often received positively. She means well and loves to solve problems. Even if they are silly social misunderstandings.

Skills & abilities
Idrill
Part of the requirements for graduation from Eiwren’s artificery class is the construction of a personal companion in that of an automaton. Eiwren’s personal companion is Idrill, a combination rolling sphere and hovering robot. Idrill is built based off a pseudo-dragon. Idrill has an artificial mind that acts as storage for information Eiwren collects. Idrill helps Eiwren with certain proficiencies and skills. Idrill also assists in short range teleportation and some levels of combat. She was not an easy build and took a lot of time and dedication.
Item Identification and Lore
Eiwren spends a good portion of her magic abilities on identifying items, their history, and purpose. She would much rather put her energy into teaching instead of combat, in her later years she’s proving to be much more of a pacifist. The ability of legend lore is normally reserved for higher wizardry and other select few mages, but she has utilized this skill more often then most. Canidae is covered in artifacts, ruins and much much more.
Item Infusion
One of the basic Artificer skills is the ability to infuse regular mundane items into magic items. Eiwren has a large variety of abilities. Some increase her limited magic capabilities, strengthening her armor, and many more. Eiwren does her best to plan ahead on what to do in most scenarios, but you won’t normally catch her anywhere near combat.
