Ludwig is a stoic, cold and emotionally unavailable doctor who, if it wasn't for his impeccable skill, would not have found success in the field because people would feel too uncomfortable around him.
He speaks very matter-of-fact and intelligently. Never using pet names, slang or even contractions (he will use "do not" instead of "don't"). He only really speaks if it's absolutely necessary, having no interest in small talk or personal conversations. This is also why he only refers to his sister as "Moira" and not her preferred nickname of Delta. Because of his poor socializing skills, he relies on his sister to do most of the back and forth with his patients.
Ludwig takes great pride in his job and takes any failures very personally, even if they were unavoidable to no fault of his own.
