Charr was formerly the co-leader of the original Diamondbreaker tribe, a race of superpowered heroes that often travelled the world to help whoever needed it. One day, he took the whole tribe on an important expedition to secure a magical artifact that supposedly put their reality at risk. It ended up being a trap however, and it wiped out the whole tribe.
The only known survivor of the horrible event, Charr limped through the woods covered in blood and injuries until he collapsed and was found by Lavender and Takara, and the two take him to their village to recover. When he does, he creates a new team called the that was tasked to help whoever was in need, in honor of the Diamondbreakers.
Eventually, he is killed during an attack on the village. Before passing, he passed on the fragments of his soul to Coal, a clone created using his own DNA.
