In their life, they were viewed as a saint upon the church. Their striking appearance was seen as a miracle, good omen that graced their lands. Man is greedy, as Knox would often state and their greed was insatiable. Many Churches were pillaged to try and found the saint. Everywhere they went, death would surely follow.
