Falconleap's Links
One of the role-models that Falconpaw looks up to after being trained in the past by the deputy. He sees Houndkick as a friendly, dedicated clanmate and wants to be just as good a warrior as him and Lightningstar combined!
With his most recent journey, he's also more understanding of Houndkick's desire to keep everyone safe—though Falconpaw may have picked up on a selfless desire to protect his clanmates over his own safety from the deputy as well.
Thinks she's really nice! After going on a journey he definitely feels like they've gotten closer after the shared experience and hopes they can continue hanging out after they return to the clan. Falconpaw is really glad that Duststorm doesn't treat him like a helpless kit and was willing to come to his defense for those who think otherwise after the incident with the rogues.
They used to be so close growing up. While he regrets only giving Sandpaw a silent goodbye before the journey, it had been an honest mistake. He'd meant to clear his head and sneak back in for a proper farewell but ended up meeting with the others, too late to head back. Still, he believed Sandpaw would understand and forgive him when he got a chance to talk—not that he got that chance. Falconleap feels immense guilt for hurting his brother but he truly believes trying to get Sandpaw out of camp was the right thing to do after Graytalon so easily banned him. He fears what clanmates, mostly Graytalon, might do or say to his brother and believes they might try turning Sandpaw against him.
Sandpaw feels conflicted about his brother. He feels hurt (emotionally, let's ignore the physical bit) by Falconleap's actions, but at the forefront of his mind, he feels betrayed and abandoned by the one cat he considered to be his only family. He tries his best to not think about Falconleap, afraid of having to face him and learn his reasons "Why": Why he left for the quest without a goodbye, why he didn't trust his brother to sneak him out, why he ran away AGAIN without a goodbye, why he did what he did to his leg...
