Ira used to be a very vulnerable child. Her environment only fed her the idea that she’s weak for being such a “pushover”. She often felt like as if not even her parents would understand. After moving out, she became obsessed with looking for power. Something, anything that could give her some kind of grip on situations. As a result, she joined a human enhancement program going on at the time.

The program consisted of improving her body, pushing her physical limits, and permanently altering her physical capabilities. Ira’s memories are sometimes a bit blurry from this time. The drugs they gave her caused her to not remember the next few hours. She never figured out what exactly happened. However, the program had effects. Good effects, but a lot of detrimental mental effects. Afraid to die from acute stress syndrome, she attempted to escape the facility. With success.

Once outside the facility. She had nowhere to return to. Her parents wouldn’t want her (she thought), no friends, no acquaintances. Full of regret.

In order to make somewhat of a living, she started to enter street fighting matches. Once that didn’t prove lucrative enough, she was tempted by someone to kill for a large sum of money. The sums, along with her popularity within the Shade grew. However, one request proved to be tricky. The target she was supposed to kill stabbed her eye out instead. Sadly, she didn’t have the time to get a cybernetic implant.

One particular person caught eye of Ira’s actions as an assassin and was interested in having her help them out. For a fair price of course. Their name was Ypsilon and Ira agreed to have them handle most of the work concerning accepting requests and making them pay. However, due to Ypsilon’s volatile nature and erratic personality, they’re more of a nuisance than a help. But she’s in too deep into this agreement to leave them.

During one of Ira’s missions, she had to commit arson. The client wanted an old, abandoned building going up in flames to bring the price down. However, after setting the building ablaze, she saw that it was not empty. A small child was running towards her as the building behind them went up in flames. She assumed them as the only survivor and took them with her.

Their name was Xaxa.

With the client’s head off, Ira was still caring for Xaxa. Despite them having no idea what she did, she felt like she owed them everything. Every no, every scold, she couldn’t bear it. She had no idea how to take care of a child. But despite everything, she somewhat managed to give Xaxa a loving home.

Ypsilon liked to seduce anyone and everyone in a relationship that seemed too good to be true. Ira always felt responsible to save anyone in their grasp. One time, their partner was a very sweet lady called Lumiel. She was going through a lot of family drama at the time, and thus, vulnerable to sweet words. Ira couldn’t fix it, but at least she could inform her about who Ypsilon actually is. To her surprise, Lumiel wasn’t intimidated by her.

After the break-up, she continued to support her in piecing her life back together. Slowly falling for her in the process. Luckily, her feelings weren’t one-sided. In time, Lumiel felt comfortable to be in a relationship again.

Ira and Lumiel are currently taking care of Xaxa together. It's tough on Ira, having to juggle a criminal job and raising a child. She doesn't want Xaxa to end up like her. She's doing everything in her might to not let Xaxa come into contact with her criminal activities.

 Ira is still working with Ypsilon since it’s her only source of income, but that doesn't scare her off from scolding them for seducing yet another vullnerable individual. She hates Ypsilon with every fibre of her being. She hopes to quit her criminal activies all together one day. However, working with Ypsilon gives her an opportunity to make sure she can help those vulnerable individuals. She doesn't view herself as a hero, she's just in it for redemption.
