Allegiance. Mutant
created for the purpose of experimentation, Lyre was the human's muse for discovery, strewn about and toyed with for the purpose of designing a weapon that'd biologically target mutants. He's been created for this, designed carefully to provide accurate results for the device said to be the human's saving grace. Praised as an angel, Lyre spent most of his life believing he was higher than most, until the day came for him to meet someone so imperfect, Lyre felt himself thinking they were flawless.
Despite his complicated history, Lyre has begun to navigate the city and the many opportunities it holds. While he can still lash out with anger and take up self-destructive tendancies, often pushing away those who care for him, Lyre tries his best to function in a world he was really never supposed to be in.

✦ First Face : The World.
How does your character behave generally? What do they do if the world has a camera on them?
Lyre is known to be one who is extremely skeptical of others. Whether this be strangers, a friend of a friend or an authority figure, he's always hesitant around those he doesn't know. He's said to be stone-faced, acting as if everyone near could have a chance of harming him. Lyre is rightfully cautious when spending time outside of his home, especially when he's away from familiar faces. He's aware of the differences between him and everyone else, knowing he's seen a certain inaccurate way, which can warrant frustration from the mutant. His abrasive attitude equip with a naive out-look on life and a honed sense of stubborness can easily make Lyre seem extremely unlikeable. Along with Lyre's barrier with communication and his struggles to adapt socially, he's not one to thrive in a strange setting.
Even with all of these challenges, Lyre can warm up to others quicker than you may think. He's inadvertently caring, though can be apathetic at times. This isn't out of a place of rudeness, rather, Lyre is occasionally incapable of understanding the difficulties other people may face. Even if it may seem as if Lyre hates someone, or wants nothing to do with them, he may surprise you with a gesture which allows him to express how much he cares. This gesture could be odd, unhelpful even, but it's the best he can do, he'll try at the very least.

How does your character behave in front of friends and family? Anything different? Are they more affectionate or a plain asshole?
To put it simply, Lyre seems like an entirely different person around his friends and family. He'll come out of his shell, which seems hardened by paranoia and anxiety, able to express himself more freely. Once absent of any readable expression, Lyre is surprisingly animated when he's with those he cares about and trusts. While he seems like he doesn't care for anyone's opinion, Lyre strives to make his friends and family proud, he'll base his decisions off of what they think is best instead of his own thoughts. It isn't that he doesn't trust himself, Lyre just believes in doing what they think in order to not disappoint anyone. Lyre can be seen idolizing his friends, adopting parts of their personality as his own, though he's obviously still very distinguishable from them.

How does your character behave by themselves? What is thought from the depths of their hearts, reserved for themselves alone and has never been mentioned in front of anybody? Do they think they are scum or do they truely think everyone around them is scum?
Lyre is far from fond of himself. He's extremely self critical, taking every opportunity he can to sabotage himself. He'll put on a front, displaying an overly prideful, smug persona to avoid being himself and showing the world how unsure and scared he usually is. Lyre is secretly driven by fear instead of his goals or desires, he seems to be constantly in a state of flight or fight, always on the verge of uncomfort in most situations. If he isn't with those key few people who can understand him or calm him down, Lyre will flee from a situation. Ever since he's realized just how flawed he is, Lyre has been overwhelmed with a sense of dread. He doesn't know how to act if he isn't behaving overly confident. Lyre views himself as a failed creation, pathetic and unworthy of the life he's been given due to his failure to uphold the ideals his creators placed onto him. While he'd never admit this out loud, Lyre will often imagine a world where he was capable of becoming someone devoid of imperfections, with his friends still at his side, though this dream will always seem impossible.

Build. Scrawny
— Deprived of a balanced diet and a regular schedule to eat, Lyre doesn't seem to be too muscular.
— This also has to do with his mutant heritage, as it's harder for a deviation to build muscle due to their already honed strength.
Hair. Chronically wild
— While Lyre prides himself on how put-together and clean his wings appear, spending at least an hour a day maintaining them, his hair is far from tamed, wild curls sticking up in every which way.
— His hair seems to be such a light shade, it appears illuminated even within the dark.
Voice. Light and expressive
— Lyre's voice isn't the deepest, nor is it considered the 'manliest', but whatever emotion he's feeling, it'll be found within the tone of his words. He has a heavy accent, which he can be mocked for at times.

Eyes. Crimson
— Lyre's eyes are a deep red which have a shade akin to blood, a dark crimson that makes him appear even more unnatural, and very intimidating.
— His eyes are usually narrowed into a cold glare, unless he's with someone he trusts.
Fashion sense. Indefinable
— Lyre, when given the choice, will always choose clothes that seem almost too formal. He has an oddly nice sense of style, that is, when he has options.
— Usually, Lyre will wear whatever he's given, often his friend's clothes he secretly cuts holes in to make room for his wings.
Wings. Large and animated
— With a wingspan larger than his entire body, Lyre has his wings often doing the job his face should, expressing his thoughts and feelings. They're certainly more reactive than his facial features, as he forgets to control and stop the motions his wings provide.
— He prides himself on the display of his feathers, even if it seems extremely insignificant to everyone else. Unfortunately, Lyre has a decent amount of back pain from the weight his wings put on himself, as the human body isn't made to support a large pair of wings.
Accessories. Rare, yet meaningful
— Lyre wears two accessories. One being a white cross bracelet given to him by a scientist who would pray to him, and a ring he recieved from his partner.
— He's never seen without these two items on and avoids taking them off unless it's necessary.

Trivia.
- Lyre is allergic to blueberries, deathly allergic at that. He despises the taste of them as well, often he'll give this as reason for him avoiding eating them, though if pressed further he'll admit he has an allergy.
- He's a vegetarian, because I really don't want to think of Lyre eating eggs or chicken. That's like borderline cannibalism.
- Lyre is a borderline hoarder. His room will be full of unneeded objects that are organized in a very specific way. Collecting things seems to be his way of retaliating against his past, since he wasn't allowed to have many items.

01. What's the lie you say most often?
"I do not lie much. When I do, it is not to worry a person. I suppose.. When I am sick, I will tell them I am fine. It is better this way, yes?"
While Lyre is a very honest person, he'll lie only when he doesn't want the people who care about him to fret over his health. He dislikes being a burden, so he avoids doing this by acting like he's unbothered.
02. What do you notice first in the reflection versus what most others first notice looking at you?
"In my reflection, I notice me! This is silly question. I will see eyes, hair, and wings. It is Lyre. Who else could be looking through mirror?"
Lyre sees well, himself. He's very aware of his appearance, and though he isn't a fan of looking at his reflection, he sees himself for who he is, however he has different opinions about himself and views himself very differently than others.
03. If you were suddenly challenged, would you rather run away or stay and fight?
"If I will win, I will fight! I am not coward. If I will loose? Maybe I say.. I will tell them 'violence is not answer'. That is ONLY if loose, I fight if possible. I am very strong and brave."
If he knows he's able to succeed in an altercation, Lyre will fight, mostly to prove himself and his abilites, so others take him seriously. Lyre wouldn't throw himself into a fight he can't win though, looking for another way out seems to be his best bet when up against a person he knows he'll loose to.
04. Are you proud of who you are?
"Yes. I am very pretty, funny, strong, brave. Beautiful. All of this."
Despite what he tells others, Lyre isn't exactly confident and proud of who he is. He's always wanting to be perfect, even if he claims he's past it.
05. Are you afraid of death?
"Yes. I was not before. I would welcome such a thing, except, it is all better now. So I am afraid. I have much to do, I cannot die! Will slow down plans!"
Lyre used to live with a lack of care about his life, until he began living within the city. Now he tries his best to stop succumbing to the temptation to mess things up for himself, wanting to provide for his partner. Lyre has a bucket list full of things he'd like to do and see, he fears death knowing these things could be taken from him.
06. What does a perfect world look like to you?
"Perfect world? One where I am with friends, not sick, and I do not have to worry. Also, a world without rude people, that is perfect. Though perfection is hard thing to be."
Lyre doesn't have many requirements for what he thinks would be a perfect world. He'd like to be around his friends all the time, healthy, and away from those who'd upset him and make him fret.
07. What do you see in an ideal partner/s (romantic or platonic)?
"Gatsby. He is perfect. Always there, very calming. Tells me I am pretty. Is kind."
That's it, man. If you aren't him he doesn't want you.
08. Is there somebody you haven’t been able to forgive? What did they do? Do you want to forgive them?
"That is hard question. I do not forgive those who have wronged me. If sorry, you would have not done such things!"
Lyre holds grudges easily. He especially hates those who assisted in his creation, along with any other humans. Actually, he just hates humans entirely, viewing most, if not all of them as vile.
09. Do you think the future is hopeful? Why or why not?
"Future will have to be hopeful. If I am in city, it is already more hopeful than before."
Even though he's not a very optimistic person, Lyre believes anything is better than the facility he lived in most of his life.
10. What is your darkest childhood memory?
"I will not talk of this."
Lyre refuses to talk about his past unless it's really needed. He finds it to be upsetting and avoids letting his mind drift to his childhood.

- Created, not born, Lyre was within a handful of mutants who were specifically designed from the hands of man. This was needed after desperations arose, humans fearful of mutants who could easily harm the city.
- Lyre was quickly revered as an angel, a blessing in disguise who was praised amongst scientists for his biblical appearance. He was informed of his perfection and quickly had a reputation for being prayed to.
- As Lyre grew older, his ego was fueled by the countless praise he recieved. He was quite insufferable until a stranger was put within his room, forcing him to speak to someone who wasn't the staff at the facility he was within. At first, he hated the man, wanting nothing to do with him, but started to be enthralled by him and his unconditional kindness.
- Through his love for this man, Lyre developed an understanding that he wasn't as perfect as he seemed. While it was a crushing topic, it gave way to who he is now. Lyre fled the building he was kept prisoner in, leaving a trail of death in order to escape, having to leave his partner behind, until he eventually reuinited with him.
