This guy is gonna be getting a MASSIVE lore/info update since Chenyu Vale is finally available, so expect to see some changed info and brand new info added to this page as I explore the region and do world quests. Aside from his general lore being expanded upon, his affiliation will also likely change since "Chenyu Vale" is pretty vague, but we shall see!

Synodic Shield At specific intervals, the Synodic Shield will cycle through 5 Moon Phases that take several possible actions based on the situation around it: • The moment the shield is cast is considered the New Moon phase and heals the current active character. • The Crescent, Quarter, and Gibbous phases will periodically regenerate your active character's HP. | Calling upon the moon's power, Maoxiu summons forth a wave of water, dealing Hydro DMG to opponents in a large AoE. A blanket of night known as the Eclipsing Firmament is left behind in its wake, temporarily blinding and disorienting enemies.
Eclipsing Firmament Throughout the ability's duration, Residual Tides will deal Hydro DMG to opponents at fixed intervals. For the Eclipsing Firmament's duration, the Jade Hare performs coordinated attacks with your active character, dealing 30% of Maoxiu's Max HP as Hydro DMG. DMG dealt by the Jade Hare counts toward the DMG that can be converted into healing by the Eclipsing Firmament. Additionally, if an active character suffers a lethal strike while the Jade Hare is on the field, the character will not fall as a result of the DMG sustained. Instead, the Jade Hare will take on the DMG itself and restore the character for 20% of their Max HP, disappearing immediately afterwards. |

- Has a tail, but hides it under his clothes.
- The white parts of his "shoes" are actually his paws. Similar to Kirara, he is capable of turning them into human feet, but simply prefers to keep them as paws since he can move around faster with them. His paws also lack paw pads, just like rabbits and hares.
- His relationship with Changsheng is based on Yu Tu the Moon Rabbit's relationshp with the moon goddess Chang'e in Chinese folklore.

Maoxiu's specialty. The image imprinted on top of this adorable pastry depicts a rabbit bounding over the moon, reminding you of the adeptus himself. The surprisingly gentle, salty-sweet flavors are soothing to the soul, and leave you feeling as though you had just awoken from a good night's sleep. As the taste lingers in your mouth long after having had your fill, you can't help but wonder if Maoxiu somehow imbue this dish with its own kind of immortality.
