Long ago in her youth Alana was a force to be reckoned with. Now she’s a centuries old grandmother looking out for her children. She's the matriarch of the Wraithmarsh family and the woman of wisdom keeping her foolish decendants from causing too much trouble. Everyone calls her Gran Gran. She's actually a few centuries old thanks to the nature of her necromancy and is actually a great grandmother many times over, but Gran Gran is simple enough to say.

Everybody adores Gran Gran and her cooking. Her baked goods are made with love and a secret ingredient that everyone, especially demons and the undead, can't resist. The bakery she started for her children to learn good work ethic and a back up trade skill is well known for its delicious goods.

Magic families would use a union with another being of a similar magic type to enhance the power of their blood line for future generations. It could be a union of a pact or an intimate night together. Alana found a demon lord to make a deal with. She made such an impression that his heart softened for her. Although the way the stories go would suggest she was a hero going to eliminate the demon lord and never returned.

Being a necromancer, Gran can leech life from others to prolong her own and temporarily revert to a somewhat younger and more hearty version of herself, but it’s saved for unique occasions. She uses a variation of this technique to infuse her baked good with energizing life force. It's what makes them so tasty, though on their own they're still top notch.

She'll also raises the dead to help her around the house if any of her kids aren’t around. Skeletons aren't doing much besides laying around in graves. She might as well make the piles of bones useful.
