He's certainly not someone you can trust. He's very bipolar in his actions, and can go from 0 to 100 in a second.
Stubborn, but overall will do whatever he can to get his way. Reasoning with him isn't something you should try.

His body has been tampered with given his ever growing insanity. In an attempt to prolong his body, as well as replace parts of himself that were failing on him, he has given himself a bio-engineered body, capable of removable parts which he can uninstall / reinstall. It's also why not many get to see who he really is because he is always changing his looks.
Overall the powers differ depending on the parts he has on standby.

Background
Xaiver is a very strange man who's past is just as confusing as he is. Born in Germany he originally was after the career of a Biologist that studied wildlife and the environment of the Earth altogether. But his family wanted him to attain a better standard of money and instead pushed him to become an atomic physics. Which he did end up making a substantial amount of money from, but eventually grew apart from his family, and later on adopted a new life somewhere in America.
After having some trouble in getting a more legal job, he leaned towards a rather more lucrative establishment that would hire him to aid in weapon making and other biological projects. He considered it dirty work for the company it was apart of, but thought nothing of it eventually as it was better than nothing.
Soon enough though he found himself falling in love with a woman outside his job, and eventually they got married. But it was for naught given the fact that his job had him doing many more projects later on that began to mess with his outside life. Especially when they asked him to become more involved and he respectfully declined.
They threatened his family, and after being told he was going to be a father, in retaliation he blew up his workplace and told his wife that they were moving someplace more stable.
Eventually they had a daughter, now living in California. And he set up his own institute where he would continue with his studies and sell it off to those interested in his work.
Unfortunately the people who he had crossed previously had found him, and took out his wife. This started the long process of insanity in his mind.
As he began to combine his mind and meddle with forces he should not of. He made creatures of barbaric proportions, morbid in design and often scrapped due to such a short lifespan. Experimental creations, which he deemed his Hybrids, he occasionally sold them off to those that were interested in his work.
He had a few assistants, one’s that didn’t really know what he had going on in his basement. But they did what work he was too busy to otherwise do. In one case however, one of his workers found their way downstairs and never came back up. This was due to him finding out the true intentions of Xavier’s work and being forced to become apart of his collection of morbid creatures. They became Muna.
Muna was placed with Xavier’s daughter as a form of protection, a bodyguard of sorts, and they got along well. But once Xavier’s daughter got too old he pulled them apart and sent his daughter away to keep her from finding out about his work as well as getting caught in anymore crossfire. Muna was locked away for a long time.
Until she eventually came back, having of remembered him, and wanted to see him again. She tried to aid in his escape but in the end, acted as a distraction and was eventually torn apart by a barrage of beast Xavier had sent after them. Muna escaped, and Xavier has been after him ever since.
