He’s parading as the role of an angel, as a reverend/oracle of the Church of Stultus. His ranking is adjacent to an archbishop. Seta Zhangjie, his ranked just about as a vicar, serving in divine servitude towards Cassiel. Due to garnering scars, (considered sacrilege to harm the divine vessel, whether intended or not; if a priests scars never heal, or for the time they haven’t healed): repentance would be serving the clergy In divine servitude. Objectifying yourself to stoicism and living purely in the pious lifestyle of religious asceticism. Cassiel often feels that he’s driving himself and Seta Zhangjie ultimately into divine retribution.
