Nowadays they are even entrusted with important diplomatic documents by the crown, to be delivered to neighboring countries. The bag comes with a built-in security measure.

Best friend of Prince Rilien.
Grew up in Queen Reginea's kingdom alongside the young price, and while always in service to the crown, Dastan has become a close confident of Rilien's. The two have gone on many adventures together (often causing mayhem). They practice combat and defense training together - each pushing the other to be the very best version of themselves.
Dastan adopted Ash (the cat) after being promoted to Captain of the Royal Messenger Service. And now Ash travels everywhere with him; protecting the royal documents from any that would seek to steal the information.
