Looking expressionless at first not unlike her twin, Mayumi can be quite fiery once you get her going. She has a love for her work that her family has been doing and takes her job seriously. Mayumi has a bit of a temper at times, usually directed at those who disrespect Darkrai. Despite loving her work as a shrine maiden she has a love for exploring and adventuring. When she is around those she is comfortable with a more joyous expression can be seen on her face.

Flame Wheel

The user attacks by cloaking itself in fire and charging at the target. This may also leave the target with a burn.

Leer

The user gives opposing Pokémon an intimidating leer that lowers their Defense stats.

Curse (Egg Move)

The user's Speed stat will drop by one stage and its Attack stat and Defense stat will rise by one stage each.

Extrasensory (Egg move)

The user attacks with an odd, unseeable power. This may also make the target flinch.

Background

Mayumi grew up in a long family of exorcists whose family watched over a Darkrai shrine. Growing up with her twin they were taught the truth of the feared god. From a young age Mayumi didn’t show much interest in being an exorcist, this didn’t displease her family at all and instead encouraged her to find her dreams. Despite her lack of interest she still supported her twin when they became the apprentice to the current exorcist at the time. Mayumi still helped out at the shrine growing up trying to help properly inform others about Darkrai. As a teenager Mayumi liked to explore around Sinnoh or as much as she could while her twin trained. By the time Masaki became the next keeper of the shrine she had also become a shrine maiden to help them out where she could. Mayumi can have a bit of a temper when people come to disrespect Darkrai and has been known to chase people off on occasion. Sometimes she wishes she had trained and evolved like her sibling, but knows her time will come soon. Mayumi does like to partake in dungeoning when she can get away from her duties for a time.
