Grimsley Mortis (He/They) is a normally soft-spoken, apathetic ghoul with not many ambitions of his own. He, along with many other soul reapers in his family, are responsible with maintaining the order of life and death of humans and ghouls alike. Due to his life plans already set out for him, he prefers to be alone to brood and adopts a lone wolf persona. He secretly loves the beauty of life, and longs to be able to foster new life in the world, rather than to take it away. He is madly in love with Olsylah Gourdan, whom he has been friends with since they were children. He is cold and unforgiving towards anyone other than Olsylah, whom he is unable to show his true affection for, as he feels as though her positive outlook of life and death and her overall optimism will never mix with his nihilistic views. Olsylah enjoys Grim's company and cherishes their lifelong friendship, completely oblivious to his feelings which Grim refuses to push any further. Grim often unintentionally belittles Olsylah, wanting to keep her safe and sheltered from the harsh realities of death.
He has two sisters, one older and one younger. He clashes with his older sister, Gristle but dotes on his younger one, Vertabree.
