Leilani grew up in the bayou her whole life, in a two parent household, however both of her parents are deaf, and so she grew up in a house that only used sign language. Leilani grew up as the "translator" for her parents, and was always at their hip. She was very sheltered and really didn't go out nor interact much with other people her age. Causing her to be stunted when it came to being social.

Both of Leilani's parents died when she was in her mid 20's, causing her to be pushed out into the real world when she wasn't ready. For the first few years, Leilani lived a socially lonely life, remaining by herself because she didn't know how to talk with other people. However she ended up finding her passion with gator wrestling, which she picked up as a performance career, getting her name out in the bayou.

With this newfound attention she had been getting, it caused leilani to really blossom within the social world, however still being pretty awkward coming to one-on-one conversations, not until she met her current girlfriend who she relies on to help her in social situations, and leilani helping her by practically being a bouncer for the bar she owns.
