Needing a name for the little brat originating from her bloodline the Queen shoved the responsibility on to the child's Father,- looking back on it, she should've been more skeptical at her husbands almost eager behavior...of course that man would choose a commoners name just to spite her, if it had gone her or her parents way this thing would've gotten a more Regal name fit for their outstanding heritage.
Meaning
Demoriel, in Folklore, was a Demon and emperor of the north with over 400 servants who was known to whisper in secrets. As for the actual names, "Akuma" means "Devil" or "Demon" in Japanese while "Demi" is often used as a girl's name and means "half" in french. So yes, Demoriel's name could be quite literally read as "Half Demon" tho it's more of a play on his bloodline and him often being reffered to as a "child that doesn't fit."

No one can say for sure how it started but over time it became a tradition of sorts to give each individual member of the Z.W.I.S a nickname based on either their personal abilities or region they protected. It wasn't like the members of Z.W.I.S were bothered by those silly nicknames that suddenly started following them wherever they went, some even wore them with pride. If anything these silly nicknames helped to protect their identies even more.

Astra is a dessert Nation known for its miles on miles of absolute nothingness, though some might argue that despite its harsh and rough living conditions the land itself consists of more stones than sand. Yet it's seas of hot magma and active vulcanic craters make the Nation appear dangerous and inhabitable all the same.
While the earth around the active vulcans are known to be of highest quality and extremly nutrituos for plants to grow, it's high in sulfur concentrated air curtesy of the craters and magma will make it difficult for any creature to breath. Which is why over time it's local citizen began migrating underneath the ground to escape both suffocating air and insufferable temperatures.
Many decades went by before it's descendants would become eventually known for their impressive masterpiece of a City built with a labyrinth structure and multiple tunnels spanning kilometers underground. The whole place illuminated by nothing more than glowing crystals and fluorescent flowers curtecy of the Nations very own strange yet curious flora and fauna.
Current Home
Lost is a Kingdom located far in the East with a strange yet fascinating History. According to urban legend many hundred years ago the once prosperous Nation used to be located on top of a cliff high above the sea level, until a natural disaster caused the cliff to collapse and the Nation to drown.
Still not wanting to give up their home the ancient King called all of the Sorcerer within the land to find a longlasting solution. Now centuries past the skillfully crafted and magically fuelled arteficial island gently floats meters above the ocean, hiding and incredible deep underwater canyon with monster lurking beneath.
Living situation
During the early days of the Zwis creation the still small mismatched group choose a self build and hardly perfectly stable treehouse as their base of operations. For the location of their top secret hideout the group declared the terrifing and dangerous forbidden forest, to Southwest of Sander, as their territory...after all no regular citizen would dare travel into an area that has been closed off for hundreds of years.

Tattoo
You can find his tattoo on back right in the center of his spine were shoulders and neck connect. In Demoriel's case his Tattoo is in the shape of a red star with a pointed tail coming from behind lazily laying over it. Two simple shaped spikes hovering above it.
Purpose
The Tattoos are a Z.W.I.S pride and joy, because the ink that was used to create them as dictated by tradition is entirely up by choice depending on what kind of Monster they managed to slay during their first mission.
Still these Tattoos aren't just for show, while they are supposed to be a prove each members unity as a group and identify ability's at first glance, their primary focus isn't to be just a beautiful decoration. After all what need would exist for a special ink to be invented if it served no purpose?
Generally speaking the Tattoos each Member wears are magical and cannot be erased. The special ink created from the remains of their first slain Monster will instinctively react to other Monsters within a set perimeter,- should it detect a Monster close enough the Tattoo will begin to glow and ache, alerting it's wearer of danger within the area.

His go to outfit isn't anything spezial or particulary fashionable if he's being honest with himself. A grey T-shirt contrasting nicely with the red top thrown over it completed by a pair of brown shorts and two green checkered clothes tied around his foot and waist.
Soulband
A Soulband is an internationally issued device disguised as a black band with a neon glowing light, which is given out to registered citizens of each Nation right after their birth. Due to each citizen receiving their device in the first moments of their live, the public tends to see these Soulbands as an individuals first gifts besides their name.
These devises are essential items to those that wish to fully function in Andorn or move between Country's without facing any issues, seeing as Soulbands serve a variety of different purposes intended to make a citizens life easier: from personal ID able to information specifically tailored to the owner of the device such as their Height, Age, Species, Blood type, Appearance, address, occupation or birthday etc. they also double as a bankaccount while storing information about an individuals contacts, ticket-information, travelpass, health, criminal record or current location.
While the sensitive data collected by the device faces a high risk of getting potentially abused by either government or third parties, it's widely believed that under normal circumstances said information would come in handy until absolutely necessary. That said the glowing light of the device serves a specific purpose as well, because during its invention each Nation had been assigned a specific color.
In other words the glowing light of the item can be used to quickly tell where it's owner originates from without hawing to look up personal files and search for their Nationality. Yet, despite all the good that comes from wearing these devices, from all the promises to supposedly make life easier and less stressful for it's owner, wearing these items is not a choice.
According to the law under no circumstances is the Owner allowed to take their Soulband off, furthermore these devices have to be worn in a place where they are easily accessible and to see, costumizing or decorating is also seen as against the law,- breaking these rules will come with its own set of consequences. Despite these limitations the Owner of a Soulband is free to wear their device wherever they please, as long as it's easy for officials to spot. Some may choose to wear their Soulband around their neck, others around their feet or wrist, while wanted criminals...where none at all.

Where he is from Feline demons are usually frowned and looked down upon, seeing as they are often seen as the weakest and less threatening kind. This doesn't mean that they can't harm others or can't become a serious threat at all.
Demoriel is a Bakeneko, evil spirits of Cats from Japanese urban legends, often classified under the umbrella term of Yokai. They are believed to be close relatives of the Nekomata and the counterparts of Maneki-Nekos, who often represent both luck and fortune. According to urban Legends Bakeneko's much like Kitsune or Tanuki are believed to be masters of black magic, using it to mess or bring ill-fortune to the people around them.
Depending on the Legend you read their origin may vary greatly from a normal housecat getting to fat or reaching and unusual age to a cat tasting the blood of its previously deceased owner,- they all end with the cat growing to the hight of a Dog and learning how to walk on two feet, using their newly gained evil abilities to chase humans and taste their flesh.
Abilities [biological]
➡ Demoriel has the ability to shapeshift into a tiny domesticated housecat often taking on the appearance of a spotted Tabby.
➡ Due to him being a literal Cat, Demoriel not only has incredible reflexes but once he shape-shifted from his humanoid appearance into his Cat-form he is also able to run insanely fast.
➡ Cats are not only able to jump about five times their own height, they are also strong. When it comes to their muscles, seeing as the body of a cat needs to be strong enough to support their agility without issues.
➡ Cats are scarily elastic and flexible creatures if you think about it, not only are they able to move through spaces smaller than them they are also able to move without making any sounds in the first place.
➡ Cats can hear indecredibly well due to the ability to rotate their ears about 180 degrees or move them seperatly from one another. They also have a huge field of vision, far greater than that of a human, thats not even talking about their ability to see during the night.
Abilities [developed]
While the actual circumstances of the reason for the existins of his Ability are currently unknown, seeing as Demons born with supernatural abilities are incredibly rare, it's without a doubt a power so lawfully good it naturally contradicts everything his species stands for.
➡ Dreamia is a Ability that allows it's user to grant a person's most important wish,- in other words this power will ignore everything a person thinks they want and will only grant whatever their heart desires most, doesn't matter if said person is aware of their actual sincerest wish or not. This also means that Demoriel himself has no idea or control over what wish he's actually wasting his ability for, with a person's wish able to range from life alternating to the dumbest shit known to man. At the end of the day, the best way to accurately describe Dreamia would be a wild card,- you don't know what you are getting until it's already too late.
Detailed Description
They say you can hear the faint ringing of a bell once a Wish had been successfully granted. Though depending on who you ask the "bell" could be either your heart screaming in joy over their deepest desire turned reality or the very organ tearing apart at the Realisation that...this wasn't at all how they imagined their deepest wish turning out to be, that once a wish had been granted there was no way back...for a wish realised by Dreamia no matter how good or bad can never be undone.
Dreamia at the end of the day is an uncontrolable wild card who had been classified a "lawfully good" ability due to its granting wishes aspect, but those thinking about wanting their wishes granted should do well in comparing Dreamia to a deal with the devil. For its classification doesn't ensure that all wishes are good, for its classification doesn't tell you of the high prices you will be expected to pay.
➡ That aside the ability also comes with its downsides, after all it's reach isn't limitless. So is Demoriel unable to grant his own heartfelt wishes or wishes generally meant or centered around himself, his ability is also unable to outright harm other directly....indirectly however is another story. For example if Demoriel were to use his ability to bless others, there's a 50% chance that these blessing will either actually protect or end up inconveniencing it's victim in various ways.
➡ While Demoriel isn't able to use "dreamia" in actual battle it does come with a secondary use or effect that is much harder to control and more instinct based than the rest of ability. Dreamwalking, the actual reason on how this power got to its name in the first place. To put it lightly Demoriel can use his ability to freely enter the dreams of other people by touching them, however he is only able to interact with dreams and view them, not take control or manipulate. He can't fight nightmares in this state, furthermore his own mental health is incredibly vulnerable in this state.
➡ That said using Dreamwalking allows Demoriel to not only view a person's current dreams but also witness bits and pieces of their recent memories, it also causes him to instinctly sense others troubles or fears.
Side effects
Asside from the fact that his ability is more or less instinctual and incredibly hard to control, takes a toll on his own mental health by forcing him to become vulnerable when wanting to use his ability to it's full extend,- Dreamias overall side effects, from just the granting wishes aspect alone, are fairly tame. He just gets a cold whenever he grants a wish or hands out a blessing of any kind.
Like mentioned before the side effects of Dreamwalking are much more severe and serious due to the position he subconsciously forces himself into. Those side effects from overusing or stretching the boundaries of his ability can range from nightmares, sleeping issues or severe headaches to high energy loss or fainting.

When beeing low on energy his body forces him to turn into a smal cat. He doesn`t do much in this form, other than laying lazily around and doing nothing but sleep favourable in the sun or getting pats on the head not caring about absolute anything,- the world could go down, a mouse could dance tango on his belly and he wouldn`t give a shit

Probably goes without question but Demoriel doesn't use his ability in fights whatsoever, after all it's an difficult power to control that can't harm people directly and can only be used at one person at a time,- it's perks and downsides just don't prove themself useful when forced to engage in a fight. That said Demoriel isn't completely helpless when faceing opponents either.
Courtesy of the cat tribe his claws can be extremly sharp, long and durable,- his teeth also aren't anything to laugh at even if they may not be as strong as a Kitsune of Werwolf. Demoriel is also able to freely control his tail, or rather he is able to use it as a long distance "weapon" by manipulating it's length, size and shape.
According to the other Z.W.I.S when attacking with his tail it's general shape takes on the form of two dangerously fast moving arrows with sharp pointed edges, able to move freely move around and break through the ground as if they weren't attached to anything or shouldn't be humanly possible at all.

Education
Demoriel and his little Brother had been home schooled from an early age. Due to them being part of the royal family, even if their Father may have been a commoner, they were still expected to receive nothing short of the best education possible. Demi for his part couldn't stand his Teachers at all, often growling or hissing at them for looking down at the two children or being unreasonably strict...it was his way of rebelling against his Mother, even if he was well aware that throwing one tandrum after another wouldn't change a thing.
He would often complain about their lectures being boring or unable to teach him anything important at all, even if he still managed to pass every test with flying colors. His younger Brother Shuugal would often joke about Demoriel just being dramatic that way.
Occupation
Demoriel is a member of the Zwis, or to be more specific he is the Vize Leader of the Zwis who founded the rebellious Organisation togheter with the prince of another Nation. The group was officially founded as a allied project between the Nation's Astra and Lost, supported by the Astrian Military. Well sort of, if Demoriel is honest with himself their little Organisation would exist if it wasn't for his Father or the mercenaries he had been in charge off...
According to rumors the Zwis were the culprits behind the rebellion that would eventually lead to the capture and dethroning of who the citizens of Lost believed to be their King and savior, wanting to get rid of the late ruler so they could take absolute control over the country. Aside from the citizens despising the absolute heck out of the Organisations leader it's undeniably that without the Zwis...their Nation would no longer exist. Because at the end of the day the Zwis are the ones who dedicate their lives into protecting Lost from Monster attacks and capturing criminals on the loose.
That said while the Zwis may be an Organisation small in numbers they aren't helpless. Four of their members act as main guardians of one specific area devided into cardinal points, they are the ones the citizens of Losts know and see the most of, even if they are usually only reffered to by either West, South, North or East with their actual identies remaining a mystery. While the other four cover differed tasks of varying importantance:
One is the Portal Guardian, the primary protector of Losts whose freely able to move around and assist in whatever Territory he's needed most,- one is a police officer with close ties to Astra focusing on sending over captured Criminals, while the other two serve the position of a leader. One that controls the strings in the background focusing on strategie and order, while the other acts in the foreground, capturing the people's attention and ensuring that everything goes according to plan.

After the death of their leader and loss of the Nation's Portal Guardians, the Zwis officially disbanded. Some members of their group decided to return home while others choose to stay behind and continue to protect Lost against Inks and other threats. Even if they may not agree with the opinions or actions of the puplic, they are still innocent lives that deserve to be protected.

Personality
Demi is an extrovert by nature, his personality thrives when being around other people doesn't matter if it's just to chat, fool around or offering to comfort them. That said isn't the best person when it comes to seeking comfort from, he will offer it to you no problem but he will behave extremly awkward while doing so. Because while Demi loves listening to people or distracting them from their own troubles, he has problems showing empathy towards other people or sharing warmth on a more physical level without getting weirded out or acting shy about it.
Demoriel is known for his optimistic yet realistic outlook on the things or situations happening around him, often bring able to quickly respond to sudden shifts around him due to his flexible yet resilient nature,- usually going with the "think before you act approach". He isn't one to piss someone off just because they looked at him weird or hurt his feelings, often choosing to keep his thoughts to himself and refusing to directly states how he feels about another person.
Demi will often come off as either proud or conceited, at times showcasing arrogant or chaotic tendencies that will sometimes clash with that serious first impression people usually have of him. That said Demoriel will act way more careful and professional towards the people he doesn't share a close relationship with, while at the same time acting as either voice of reason towards his friends...or a literal span of poorly contained chaotic energy: be it his overly dramatic nature, his random ass ideas causing their group one trouble after another or his awkwardness,- if he feels comfortable enough around a person he wouldn't even bother to hide his lazyness or more than stupid shower thoughts.

Nyctophobia is an extreme fear of night or darkness that can cause intense symptoms of anxiety and depression. A fear becomes a phobia when it's excessive, irrational, or impacts your day-to-day life. Being afraid of the dark often starts in childhood and is viewed as a normal part of development. Demoriel for his part refuses to sleep in his room without a light source of any kind.

Dont get her wrong Agash doesn't hate her children, she just couldn't give a fuck about what they choose to do in life. In all honesty Agash neither hates nor loves her children, when she sees them all she feels is indifference, an annoyance needed to be taken care off.
The way Agash was raised she learned early on that a person's blood means nothing in this World. According to the law only Females are allowed to claim the throne and lead the Country, while a "King" does exist its nothing more than a title for the most part, their purpose is to protect the people and the Queen nothing else. Yet their marriage is never one out of love, because as dictated by ancient traditions the "King" or "champion" has to be the proven strongest of all demons within the Nation, which is picked every five years by forcing its possible candidates to win a fighting competition between life end death. If the current King loses, he`s exiled from the Capital bringing shame to his Family,- should he not have died in the fights already. If he does win however he gets to either marry the current Queen and fullfilling the role of a Bodyguard or keep his current position as the strongest of them all.
Due to their Nations more or less barbaric traditions Agash doesn't seem to hold any interest or attachment towards either her children or her husband, after all they aren't girls and their bond wasn't out of love. What good is keeping around useless dross that will never be able to inherit the throne, step into her footsteps should anything ever happen to her. In her eyes its just a waste of time that will never pay off, after all the sole reason she had wanted children in the first place was to secure her bloodline because her parents and advisors would stop pressuring her into doing "the right thing".

His relationship with his Father is complicated to say at least. Ever since he was a small child Ema made it extremly clear that he never wanted to become a Father, never wanted to start a Family, become a Husband or have children with a woman he never loved, forced into a false sense of happiness.
According to the Maids Ema once tried to kill his own children as newborns after being ordered to do so by the former Queen, his mother in-law, but couldn't bring himself to do so in the end. Instead choosing to keep the two children alive because he figured that them surviving would piss the royal family off more than anything else.
Because in Ema's opinion while he genuinely hates the life and role he had been forced into against his will, nothing would excuse him letting either frustration or anger out on his children...they never asked to be born nor did they have anything to do with what had happened. Didn't deserve anything of it. Besides as he found out him becoming a Mentor figure to his youngest child, the handicapped "weak-link" of their messed up Family, teaching him to protect himself and stand his own ground, will get on the elders nerves like no one else.

Shuu and him shared a rather loving sibling relationship, having practically been connected by the hip from an early age. Wherever Demi would go he would make sure that his younger brother was able to follow, refusing to leave his sight and becoming all out protective when around elder demons or aristocrat's in general.
The two where said to be able to understand eachother blindly without having to say a single word. Though no matter how good this may all sound if it wasn't for their Mothers blatand neglect or their Fathers attempt to kill them as newborns, then there wouldn't even be a need for two little children growing up only depending on each other, developing a strong sense of loyalty and trust towards eachother.
Their relationship becomes strained after Demoriel choose to leave Astra without his brother, while Shuugal made it clear that he doesn't hate his brother and that it was his decision to make, doesn't mean that he forgave him for what he did...that he hadn't been hurt when it happened. That said the two are still on speaking terms, just not as lively as they used to with Shuu often pushing his older Brother away.

They rarely speak or interact for that matter. It's not like the little ball of sunshine could understand why, they get along with their older brother Shuugal without any issues despite their age gap of thirteen years! and sure they live in different Worlds, had been raised in different cultures...yet the way Demoriel acts or chooses to avoid his youngest sibling like they are the plague, or whenever he visits would consciously treat the younger like some sort of unwanted pest...
It's hurtful. What makes it worse is that Io refuses to hate their brother for their behavior, it's not like they could either...you can't exactly hate on a person you've never really meet or had the chance of growing closer too...at the end of the day Io both feels indifferent about their older brother and sad. They aren't sure what they had done to upset the older to such an extend, but they can fix it! They promise to apologize! They will fix whatever they've done wrong and will never do it again...so please...
from an early age Io has long since given up the hope of ever being on good terms with their older brother, Demoriel resents them for something this is a fact they've been painfully made aware off ever since meeting the other for the first time. At this point they just wish to at least pretend in getting along infront of other people...his Mother says to give it time, change is difficult to accept, suddenly having a new family member isn't something someone will immediately adjust to.
Still Io can't help see themself at fault, if it wasn't for their intrusion, Shuugal wouldn't feel the need to constantly call his brother out and start one fight after the other. At one point even their father had to get involved, after Demoriel almost slapped IO in the face and the todler started to hide behind their Father's legs with tears streaming their face.

Demoriel had a lonely childhood, ironic considering the fact that although the other higher ranking demons all looked down on the poor child, regarding him as nothing more than a mockery of her majesties pride, there were actually quite a handful of noble children that genuinely wanted to befriend the prince. Yet had been pushed away without a second thought.
Their Parents looked down on him, surely the children would do the same, a young child who had always been treated as an unwanted entry in their parents live...unable to accept that people could be genuinely nice, that he too was deserving off the love his surroundings were willing to give.
Maybe nothing would've changed about the boys outlook on live if it wasn't for him getting kidnapped by a lower ranking demon wanting the young prince to use his abilities on the boys twin brother.
At first Demoriel found it hard to trust the two boys, treating them in the same disrespectful and incredibly rude manner he had noticed the other nobles often do,- it was fine, they were a lower class afterall. Yet his behavior gradually seemed to change the more the prince spent time around the twins and got used to their rather weird habits and behavior, allowing him to slowly grow more confident in expressing more about himself and begin to genuinely care.

They were business Partners, this is what Hakuru described their relationship as, purely transactual nothing more and nothing less, it's true to some extend. Perhaps the older believed this was all their relationship could be described as, two people of rivaling nations who rebelled against their ruling Parents by cooperating with eachother in order to create a small scale rebellious group strong enough to dethrone a maniac hopefully without facing any major or lasting concequences.
Yet the more time these two spend relying on each other, having each other's back, they learned to trust. Over time their trust would cause them to view eachother in a kinder light, for demoriel it meant he had developed a crush far to late.
Hakuru noticed his slowly developing feelings far sooner than the demon would've liked he had, despite that the Wizard never made a comment about it, stubborn on pretending their realitionship was platonic in nature, keeping the other at arm length. The demon wouldn't be brave enough to confess until it was far too late....the Wizard was gone, he would never come back.
For Demoriel Hakuru had been both a rival and a friend he had loved deeply, yet he always refused to confess to scared about scarring the bond they had struggled to create. Reminding himself that he would be happy just staying by the others side, helping him by pretending to be mastermind in the spotlight, all the while allowing the others to pull the strings from the shadows.

They've never interacted, Demoriel isn't even sure if he had ever seen the adult around. Granted Cecill isn't a noble so there's little to no chance the two of them would've meet on any of the events or banquets the young prince had been forced to attend.
Even if, the rumors and gossip circling around focusing on the alleged laid back mercenary and torture expert with overly sadistic tendencies, are more than enough reason to actively avoid the older man.
His opinion only seemed to strengthen after finding out that Cecill wasn't only a loyal member of his Father's team but a close friend of the bakeneko as well. That said Demoriel at least promised to be less harsh towards the adult after hearing the stories the twins had to tell about the loving Father who raised them all on his own.
In all honesty, Demoriel isn't sure what kind of witchcraft Cecill had to perform in order to raise some as pure and chaotic as Zero and Yooka.

Demoriel had meet the avian maybe once or twice prior to the young adult becoming a strategist and work under his Dad, their relationship was particularly good but it wasn't a bad one either. In all honesty Demoriel doesn't know enough about the antisocial phantom to have a strong opinion on him.
That said something about the olders impassive nature and emotionless way of talking feels unnerving to the teenager. Yooka will occasionally complain about the avians odd love for plushies and old consoles, to Demoriel the supposed genius just starts to sound weirder by the second.

Demoriel has never seen Lucian without the other, maybe it's one of the reasons of why he had stopped actively seeking the other out for a talk in the first place. He can't tell why for sure, something about the mutant just freaks him out to the core, yet he's unable to identify the exact cause of his instincts telling him to run and hide whenever the other is near.
Is it his personality or the way he carries himself? Maybe it's none of them, is it just him or does the older carry a scent that screams rotten to the bone? Could be just his imagination talking...
