Often found on the ofrenda are the 4 elements, which I put into this design too! Water, fire as the candles and wind in the papel picado. Earth is usually represented by food, like pan de muerto, but I thought it would be too much in this design. So the flowers I guess are earth? And the fact that a cat walks on earth and technically a cat could be food too so ya
