Gold

Gold was a member of Yellow Diamond's court. Pyrite Gold was meant to serve her, but the two Gems were more friends than master and servant. Gold would go on to impress Yellow enough that the Diamond decided to reward her with a court of her own. When she heard the news, Gold was eager to share her good fortune with her best friend. Little did Gold know that Pyrite would come to resent her friend for all the things that Gold could get just because she happened to be a Metallic Gem of the highest class. Gold was one of those people who liked a good party, and naturally threw a big one to celebrate her getting her own court and colony. At some point Pyrite Gold approached her, wishing to speak to her in private. Gold followed her friend, having no reason to expect that Pyrite would ever be a threat to her safety. But Pyrite Gold attacked her and poofed Gold. She then bubbled the Gem and hid her away.

Pyrite Gold went on to take on Gold's Identity and received the promised court of Gems. Gold was kept hidden until she was accidentally thrown out with a bunch of rubbish. The Gem floated through space until she was brought to Earth. Her bubble popped and Gold was finally able to reform. She was shocked by what had happened, but it quickly turned to anger. She wanted to go home, to give Pyrite Gold a piece of her mind (and maybe a well-placed blow to the gemstone). But then time passed and Gold found that living on Earth wasn't too bad. 

She avoided the early humans at first, but then became curious about their way of life. The humans were in awe by this mysterious woman with golden hair, skin, and eyes. She became a princess to some, a queen to others, and a goddess to many. Gold adored the attention she received (it was even better than what she got from the few Gems created to serve her) and the humans regarded her with fear and respect. At first, Gold was a good ruler, she was kind and compassionate but could be firm if need be. However, always being good got boring. So Gold began to experiment with creating various forms of hardship for the people under her control. It was fun while it lasted, but then Gold began to encounter problems. Some people did not like how she was running things or maybe she would not deliver on promises (like sending rain to water the groups). The people began to lose faith in her and turned away. Gold decided that it was time to move on and see what else she could do. 

Gold has been around for decades and somehow was able to avoid detection by the Earth Diamonds or Crystal Gems. The passage of time has not hindered her at all because Gold can simply adapt to new situations and she almost always goes for a position on top.
