TORNADOKIT feels a chill down her spine as only a few days prior, she spoke with her father alongside DEATHKIT about what death really was, and what it entailed — the late cat rising to join Starclan, an afterlife where it was like paradise.

Was it a sort of coincidence? TORNADOKIT couldn’t wrap her head around it.

Her family was obviously impacted heavily with BREEZESTEP’S passing, many of them being distraught alongside SILPHIUM. As a result, she decides to be one of the pillars for her family — strong just like her mother was. She couldn’t cry, she had to keep smiling for her family’s sake. TORNADOKIT would forcefully hold back her sadness and mourning in order to support everyone in this hard time.

Yet, she felt so small, so incapable of handling this major task. But she had to.

Eventually, FOGSTAR would call her up to the High-Stone and appoint her new mentor. She bounded up, excited and ready to meet the cat who would train her to be the best, just like BREEZESTEP was. HOOTFROST was his name — and he never showed up, rather being cooped in the warrior’s den following the owl attack that happened recently. She didn’t know why he didn’t show up, but instead of showing her disappointment, she simply smiled and dismissed the concerns of others who would say he’d warm up to her. No, she’d just go into the warriors den later on, simply standing over him and telling him to train her. He was cold about it at first, but after asking more nicely, he’d just get up and push her along, calling her a brat.

TORNADOPAW would just go along with it; even though she wasn’t pleased with her mentor, it still wouldn’t stop her from trying to live up to her mother’s legacy — it wouldn’t stop her from being her happy, smiling self, even if she was irritated by HOOTFROST’S demeanor.
