Behaving much like a wild animal, Kiwi will most likely flee from anyone he doesn’t know. He is extremely afraid of humans and does not allow them to come close to him. Although, he sometimes will watch others with curiosity. Besides that, he’s happy-go-lucky. He loves moving quickly through his jungle home and exploring (as long as there’s no danger, of course). He cannot speak much and is only able to mimic words that he's heard. One of the few words he understands is his own name: Kiwi. Often, his responses come in chirps and repeating his name over and over. He’s also not aware of basic manners. Although not able to speak well, he’s very expressive. He knows that he can’t be understood, like he has a language of his own. Kiwi gets along well with very few people, but those he does, he clings to and tries to protect and teach.
