Profile
The immaculate conception of Bhaal, Umrae was not born in a Temple of Bhaal and was instead found in the Underdark by a Lolth cult. Swearing her in and raising her in Menzoberranzan, she grew up among the sect of Lolth, not realizing she in fact came from another god. Thinking the urge she had inside of her was Lolth, she killed her entire sect - attracting Bhaal worshippers. They drafted her into the Temple of Bhaal, where she realized who she really was. Umrae still worships Lolth, however, with the goddess looking down upon her favorably due to her bloodshed.
Alongside Sceleritas Fel, Umrae went off to commit numerous atrocities in the names of both Bhaal and, in the Underdark, Lolth. Eventually she was contacted by Enver Gortash in a plot to steal the Crown of Karsus, allying with him and their creation of the plan to use the Netherbrain to form the false Cult of the Absolute. However, Umrae's half-sister Orin attacked and split her skull, placing an illithid tadpole inside. This led to Umrae losing almost all her memories and being taken onto the nautiloid ship.
Following her escape from the crash, Umrae has gathered allies and infiltrated the Cult of the Absolute in hopes of ridding the tadpole from her head. However, she has an undying bloodlust within her that has occasionally hindered her journey - leading to the deaths of many unaffiliated innocents and even the bard Alfira after resting at her camp.
