His Corruption
A terrible corruption who spreads their illness to other Gods, Goddesses and Spirits. Seen rarely, seemingly disappearing and reappearing at will in plumes of bloodied smoke. Capable of spreading It's infection even to the forest itself this Beast is the curse of the land with greedy tainted claws.
They are drawn to conflict and negativity and will even possess weak minded beings in order to infect them and those around them quicker. This God prophesises a successor to their dreaded plight, a Prince of Corruption who shall stand by their side and forge the final path to the End of Days. 'A boy who's wings are not his own, shall take the corruptions deathly throne. And once upon it the young prince sits, in will set the coldest mists. With sword in hand, all throughout the land, the Gods shall fall before him.'

Beginnings - The forgotten Festival of Shadow
This God was not always as they stand now. Previously worshiped as the God of Shadows who even had festivals with puppets and grand statues made from produce in Their honour.

The festival was a celebration and show of appreciation for that which was the Guardian Shadow. People believed that the shadows of objects and beings held within them a spirit that guarded their backs at all times and protected them form unexpected dangers, especially during the cold months when light was dim. The event began on the last day of Autumn at dawn in which statues large and small were placed in prime place for the sun to hit them and create a shadow behind them. People took pride in creating sculptures that brought spectacular shadow patterns and creatures to the towns grounds and walls. The largest sculpture was made fresh each year from produce that was dried throughout winter and weaved into the form of a large wolf. Red fabrics were draped on it's body to warm the God throughout the winter and beads made of precious stone were added as offerings of respect. The statue would be paraded around the town all day collecting offerings from the people as it went until the setting of the sun where it would be brought to the centre and people would watch the final rays disappear. Upon the last shred of light fading the structure was set alight to create one last show of shadows to dance upon their grounds.
This festival was once one of the many great celebrations of the year, but after years the event became less relevant, less celebrated, and the festival's God became unruly. The traditions slowly fell into simple myth and the God's followers dwindled until not even one remained. The God, full of rage became a beast hell-bent on forcing the people to remember them again, weather that be as an evil God or one of good, they did not care. They would be the last standing God, and therefore be the only God to remember.

Power
The God derives most of Their power from dwelling in dark places swept in shadows and feeding off of negative emotions. Although in recent times the God has found power within the shadows of creatures which it drains from them along with their life force. Often all that is left is a shell of the being's previous self with a dark intent. This is how the God spreads Their corruption.
