It doesn’t matter where he came from, and it hardly matters where he plans to go next. Aether Paradise is but a small point in his eternal lifespan, and he’d prefer to just enjoy it for what it is than think too hard about the past or future.

Hymn has serious amnesia, but instead of slowing him down it only bolsters his ego. He thinks that he can’t remember his past because it’s too divine and magnificent and if he remembered he’d be overwhelmed. He’s charming and can easily get on people’s good sides, but once he reveals the depth of his vanity it’s even easier to drive folks away. He says he’s not lonely, but that’s not totally true.

Odette sticks with him, despite everything. He sings, and she dances. They make an interesting duo.
