• hispanic - mixed descent. conversationally fluent in spanish but was never taught formally
• wave-shaped facial hair, grey eyes ringed with blue, a few scattered tattoos and scars
• powers are like aquaman but shittier, and tied to manta rays specifically somehow
• perpetually stressed and overworked wildlife rescue / rehab tech who works at a local aquarium
  
• has a master's in marine bio, is stuck doing fresh-out-of-college undergrad work due to lack of opportunity in his area
• also really bad at marketing himself.  flubs every interview. very good at what he does and stable in his current job though
  
• has not yet figured out his labels. could be gay, could be straight, we're not quite sure and neither is he
• surprising absolutely no one he surfs and scuba dives for fun when he gets the time
• exceptionally strong swimmer - part of his powers. he can swim easily in his hero costume
