For the 21 first years of his existnce, Alun was just a red fox among hundreds in the kingdom, an unimportant villager among so much other ones - which he never minded. He was living with his family and was ready to take the inn of his parent as his father was starting to grow quite old; never did he considered he would access the higher rank of the society, among the royal family and the nobles, even as a cooker or a valet of some kind - and yet.
You see, somewhere even higher than the royal family resided the gods - and the gods would've liked to communicate with the lower species that were the Kingdom. Though, directly coming down from where they were would be unacceptable. Instead, they would directly give someone from the Kingdom a special power; a power that would let them see the gods' message through the stars and the cloud; a power to communicate with the gods. And, you guessed it well, Alun has been quite literally stroke with the power of the gods.
after getting his power, it didn't took too long for Alun to get picked up by the King as the rumor of the "messenger of the gods" has quickly reached the ears of the higher rank; despite Alun's little experience, rather unlikely for someone who work directly for The King, he has been named as The Wizard Of the Stars. He has a single role: whenever he sees a message from the star, he must transmit it to the King. Quite simple, right? Well yet, it surely won't stop him to cause chaos among the nobles, intentional or not.
in the King's castle, everyone - from the nobles to the servants recognize Alun at his out-of-the-etiquette demeanor, as he has never been educated to the tacit rules of the palace because of his origin ( and because the King didn't had the time to introduce him properly to thoses ); at first he was demeaning toward everyone kind of like 'instant friends', not knowing he has to do ceremonial salutation or referring some by their tittles before interacting with them. Since then he kinda calmed down and understand better how it works - but it still won't stop him to do flabbergasted action at the eyes of some.
aside from that, he is often described as a joyful, optimist yet kinda air-headed guy, kinda always thinking as the other as his friends anyways. He is also a quite proud individual, especially when it comes to his starry ( literally and figuratively ) power. Though, maybe his proudness explain the clumsiness and the little consideration on his actions? Because, well, he rarely think about his actions before going in; if he wants to do something, he will do it. Which may or may not be a bad thing in a place like the King's castle...
- Alun's middle name is Aloysius because his parents couldn't choose between Alun and this one, resulting in him getting both of the name.which is absolutely not a meta fact haha wdym
- Alun probably also has a title on his own, due to his new role - but as he's still refered as Alun, he kinda forgot what it was. And, well, probably everyone in the castle did anyway.
- Alun's, uh, funky outfit is in fact not a usual style of his new rank, despite what the people believe; its just Alun not being used of the higher rank lifestyle and routine and picking something he thought might look worth of his new life.
- as the child of an inn keeper, Alun has some experience in cooking and consider himself to be quite good. And while it isnt his affiliation in his present role, he will gladly cooks at the request of a friendly one!
- Alun is rarely authorized to see his family because of his role, but he regularly message them to inform them of the life he's currently living.
- the star on Alun's left cheek appeared with his power. Probably a sign of his power "ownership"?
- Alun's design has been inspired by a picrew I did some times ago ( that i cannot upload sadly as I lost the credit link sob )!
