• neutral evil? lawful? definitely follows his own moral compass / rules that’s ruled by anger and a little paranoia but he aligns with a more malignant disposition.
• half wood elf, half human.
  • technically 75% wood-elf by silly genetics math. his father was a half wood elf while his mom was a full wood elf.  
  • so because of this, he will probably outlive the average half-elf lifespan. & explains why he ages slower than other half-elves.
• was an acolyte / priest of selune and pretty devoted to his church / sect. had a daughter.
  • she isn’t blood related to him, she was an orphaned toddler that was dropped off at the church and couldn’t be rehomed so diomedes took her in, despite being young himself (around early to mid-twenties).
• ITS A VERY LOOSE IDEA BUT: his descent into evil/madness probably started when his daughter took the rite of passage & disappeared— a fate he knows can happen in the rite of passage. but when she was finally found, unfortunately dead, her injuries showed signs of foul play and not just a skill shortcoming in the wilderness. which turned out that the culprit was a fellow acolyte in his sect. who always disliked him or something but took it out on his daughter. then also finds out that everyone else knew and was just trying to turn a blind eye. so he ends up killing everyone at his church.
  • probably would’ve defected to shar or another evil-aligned god but. i think it’s more corrupted if he stays worshipping selune, knowing that her worshippers are corrupt. and kills in her name. knows his goddess probably disapproves but stays devout as a way of getting back at her as well.
